    https://behindtheblack.com/behind-t...tempt-to-launch-starship-superheavy-to-orbit/

"Assuming all goes as planned, most of the action will occur in the first ten minutes, at which time Starship will cut off its engines and be in orbit. It will then coast for a little over an hour when it will re-enter the atmosphere to splashdown in the Pacific north of the Hawaiian Islands.

As I have noted many times, the historical significance of this rocket cannot be overstated. It is twice as powerful as NASA’s Saturn-5 rocket and almost three-times as powerful as NASA’s new SLS rocket, and went from concept to launch in about seven years. Its development was funded entirely by private investment capital, at a fraction of the cost of either of the government’s rockets. And it will be completely reusable once operational, reducing the cost exponentially of getting large 100-ton payloads into orbit."

Did anyone hear the explosion? I have a few friends texting me saying they heard it on the west side of Houston.

the employees all cheered after the explosion (claiming they got farther than expected), but Elon did not look thrilled

I wonder how many millions that cost. Stocks probably drop after that. Neurolink will not be trustworthy.

Don't you dare say it 'exploded'

"rapid unscheduled disassembly" is what happens when you knock a LEGO creation onto the floor.

Nothing new. SpaceX rockets now used to take astronauts to space blew up plenty of times. Great article here by the guy we know for Space City weather.

I don't know if he was thrilled or not, but he already only expected a 50% chance of successfully getting the thing into orbit on this launch, so, needless to say, he was aware the chances of failure was kind of high. He's even stated the chances of a successful launch into orbit would be maybe 80% by the end of the year. But he did say while he wasn't guaranteeing success, he guaranteed excitement before the launch. lol.

Listening to the commentary about this reminds me so much of the other Rockets in Texas.

Well yet another game with a rapid unscheduled disassembly of the game plan. It’s a success though because got some dunks and Sengun got some rebounds!
Just clearing the tower is victory!

I'm not sure if you're trolling or not. It's usually not your nature.

It has been stated for weeks a 'failure' would been an explosion on the pad. It was stated It would be 50/50 for it to reach orbit.

It would be like a 1st year expansion team saying 'as long as we don't end up in last place' all while the critics are mocking because they didn't win the championship.

There is valid criticism about the launch method but it certainly isn't in how far it made it.

That depends what you mean by trolling.
Yes I understand getting a launch was progress and the rest was added benefit.

I still find it funny how euphemistically the commentary was and reminds me of the other Rockets.
