Tatum has been coached by both and would tell you Udoka is #1.

You must think pretty highly of Silas lol. Silas greater than Stevens?

When was the last time a player bad mouthed a coach - real question?

Maybe after all is said and done Tilman doesnt mind having a creep coach the team - not like he carries a moral compass himself.

Lucky for Houston Udoka is not the only viable candidate just in case the whole "banging the boss' wife" is an issue. ;)

Do coaches get "prove it" contracts too? Maybe give him a 3 year with just the first guaranteed. I'd be willing to give him a shot.

I'm not sure that's a better picture Nook.

You say he's never had problems juggling them but he just got fired and suspended for it. That sounds like a problem to me.

I'm all about second chances, i just don't think he's apologetic about the fact that he jeopardized a title run. Might be fine for his wife but not for the team and while the players seem fine with it i bet they wouldn't if it were a teammates wife rather than an employees wife. They are lucky Mazula picked up where he left off, it could have just as easily been they get set back because a new coach can't match the performance. This during their best players primes.

Also even if Nia was on board somehow... Are you telling me that if you were hiring for a job and an applicant told you they got fired and destroyed two relationships... That's the guy you're going to hire? Even if I'm cheating myself, that's not the guy I'm hiring to build my team.

Frankly I'd rather not hire him and be wrong about it than take this risk right now. It's not a major loss to let slip away a guy with one good season. Nurse at least has a title and a few good seasons.

No one has even answered the question: why would this not happen again? It's like acquiring Draymond and expecting him not to make dirty plays. I know Morant won't f*ck around with guns like that again, you can see it in his face. Can't say the same for Ime. He is who he is and even his wife of x years seemed to accept that.

I think Silas would have had that team playing better offense. I acknowledge the job Udoka did for that team on defense. As far as Stevens I think the board in general is right when they say not many coaches will thrive at a championship level with 22 year old players. Experience IS a thing and not always driven by a coach.

To me it's less about the moral stuff, if two consenting adults... it's whatever. Ime was a legal liability to the Celtics; this is why Celtics cut ties.

It's one thing to have an extramarital affair, the 'sex act' could have been consensual, but it's the part before and after that was in question. Power dynamic of Ime (a face of the org) using his position (even if implicit). And afterwards, where one party wants to break it off, Ime kept pursuing (verbal/crude language and all), despite Celtics org warned him (multiple times) to keep his personal life out of the work place. Can't be a head coach of a NBA team while harassing other female employees.

Independent firm was bought in to investigate. If it was just one guy banging wife of another employee, the firm wouldn't just advocate for one side. That firm (and Celtics' HR) would be seen as taking sides.

Lack of judgement, bad interpersonal skills (with non players), and when ignoring warnings was defiance to the org. Ime being in the Finals, probably thought he was untouchable. That and he has bad impulse control.

Rockets have good options, a who's who list of HC candidates are being interviewed. Compared to some of the guys; that the Pistons have spoken with, we put them to shame. We don't have to settle. As a coach, Ime is good, but he's not head and shoulders above the pool. Lastly, all the assistants that Ime had in BOS are not coming with him to the Rockets. Hardy and Mazzulo are NBA head coaches themselves, and Damon got the head coaching gig at Georgia Tech.

Udoka was no longer his coach when he made those comments. Mazzulla was. Tatum still says Ime was his favorite off all the coaches he's ever had.

Moral of the story is dont be a cheater and more importantly dont bang the bosses wife. Hopefully Jayson remembers that for his own benefit more than anything learned on the court.

Bro cheating is one of the biggest violations imaginable in a committed relationship. If you dont think its a big deal thats fine, but its definitely not something married people look forward to and have to deal with. For us to just glance over that fact because the man is a good coach is weird when you guys get up in arms over soup throwing brats who bail at halftime.

This guy was engaged to NIA LONG for goodness sakes -- smoking hot NIA LONG! He threw that away to bang a Becky from accounting who was a HUGE dropoff! Controlling your impulses is sort of important in a workplace.

What on earth are you going on about?! You questioned Ime's impact compared to Mazzulla's and Jayson Tatum (Boston's best player) claims Ime is in a tier to himself. You then stated he only said that as Udoka was his coach which he wasn't at the time of those comments. Joe Mazzulla was his coach at that time. Now you're whining about KPJ?! Very bizarre behavior to say the least.

    :confused:o_O:rolleyes:

Buddy you are cosigning to a creep. Mazzula has this team playing better than Udoka. I reminded you about how much certain activities are faux pas around here while others seem to be en vogue. Not that hard to follow along, but go ahead keep reminding me how awesome Ime Udoka is Im all ears!

You prefer Mazzulla then, pal? The coach that hits women. Duly noted.

That’s a good point. How do you even concentrate on your job? He works in basketball. Once Udoka gets another job, he’s going to see him all the time and think of his wife and the things that were said. The horrible things that were said. Time for a career change.

What if you eat what you ****?

That was in poor taste, but I had to. o_O

I don’t want IU bringing anything to the Rockets like he did screwing up his time in Boston. Hopefully he’s learned from it and can just be a positive part of an organization. If he can do that, he’s my choice.
