Caleb Williams in his bowl game threw for 462 yards 5TDs 1Int on 71% completions. He actually ended the season pretty strong when looking through the game logs.

I dont keep up with Drake Maye as much, but seemed like he had the tougher matchup in the bowl game and did OK. Neither guy was the reason for their team loss.

Jimmie Ward is a very good safety. He's also a very good nickel corner. If healthy he's a top 10 safety.

To me, Georgia is the closest thing to an NFL team and Stroud showed up.

I think the reason why he was a statute in the pocket is obvious, because that's what he was asked to do. He relied on his weapons.

However, when he faced Georgia, I think his coach asked more from him to be able to matchup with against a superior team. Truthfully, we don't know but its the fact that he showed up AND showed out!

When you compare CJ to say a QB like Matt Schaub, who for yrs never showed up in big games. This is why I think you take a QB when you can.

I've thought all along that Trey Lance made so much sense - assuming DeMeco and his staff were fond of him. They very obviously know him well.

I'm not suggesting Lance is better than any of the prospects in this draft - but he comes with much greater certainty: they would know what he can and cannot do; they would know if he works hard, studies hard; what kind of teammate he is - that's a tremendous advantage over Bryce, CJ, etc - because as good as those guys may be... you just don't know.

    Also: Lance + 1.2 + 1.12 > rookie QB (1.2) + 1.12.

Eew. That's enough for me to not want Trey Lance, if he didn't even play better than Mills.

I just did. What are you saying huh about? Mills' stats were way better. Played one more game and threw 1,500 more yards and had 9 more touchdowns.

Edit; It was brought to my attention again and the light came on. My airhead moment with Trey Lance on my mind. LMAO. That being said,bI just compared Lance's 7 NFL games to Mills' first 7 games and Mills had 11 TD and 3 InT,. Lance had 5 TD and 3 INT. So...I don't see him seeming worth pursuing.

The tweet is comparing Mills to Justin Fields. It says nothing whatsoever about Trey Lance.

LMAO. That was my airhead moment of the week. I had Trey Lance on the brain. That being said,bI just compared Lance's 7 NFL games to Mills' first 7 games and Mills had 11 TD and 3 InT,. Lance had 5 TD and 3 INT. So...I don't see him seeming worth pursuing.
