Ah okay so everytime a boss sleeps with an employee it is some power thing, not two adults attracted to each other wanting to ****. got it
Here is a very simple (and realistic) scenario for you lot. 1. Boss sleeps with employee 2. They have consensual relationship 3. Weeks later boss ends things with employee 4. Employee then becomes aggressive and irritable towards boss 5. Work environment deteriorates and creates tension, maybe even having more co-workers having a power view of boss 6. More employees respect the boss less and continue creating tension amongst co-workers Look, if the FO likes Udoka and think this was an one time boo-boo mistake then I'm a man of second chances. I'm just meerely pointing out this isn't just "wow the guy is infidelious" sort of deal that occurred.
He was the coach, not her boss dumbass. He didn’t sleep with any players or assistant coaches, those are the only people he’s has a position of power to.
it may not be explicit, but there is an underlying power dynamic because it is a Boss-Employee relationship.
I believe Udoka deserves a second chance, but given the stakes of this offseason, I wouldn't want to hire him because we don't know if he could be a repeat offender. There are plenty of other qualified coaches that can be hired that don't come with that risk. If he's hired it would probably be because Fertitta is desperate for a 'big name' and overrules Stone.
It TOTALLY matters that the affair was happening during a title run. It TOTALLY matters that it happened with a team employee. AND, even if those were not the case, it's still a red flag. It's odd that you're surprised that a guy who can't handle a relationship is being flagged as a risk for team building. We don't need a saint, we just need a guy who makes good choices and who puts his job before his **** and he simply couldn't do that. I don't know how to make this clearer without you defaulting back to "but when I imagine it, i think there are successful team builders who cheat". I really don't care if that's even true because Udoka failed. He's fired and got suspended and put the whole organization under scrutiny. If the Nets couldn't afford to take the risk, why should we especially since we're blessed with coaching options? Raise your self esteem, a coach with one highly successful season is nothing to risk a rebuild over. If he did it again, the same results would show up. We'd have to suspend him and fire him and try to pick up the pieces with another coach. That is not good, you agree right?
you’re putting words in my mouth what I find odd is outlandish statements like this People who can't maintain relationships, can't maintain relationships of any type. It's a systemic mental issue. U got a google psych degree now?

No, i just read what people with psych degrees say rather than going with my imagination. Be honest dude, you have a personal relationship with this topic such that even if I posted a scientific article you'd still default to your anecdotal story. If that's not the case, let's make a bet. The nice thing about science is i can simply prove it to you. Don't bother asking me for proof though if you're just going to point out some anecdotal story after. I'd also be very happy to just hear from you that you believe your little story more than a scientific research paper. At least then things are clear.
please show all this evidence that because Ime cheated on his spouse, he is therefore incapable of maintaining relationships of any type and has some mental disorder
Conditions are clear for the bet. If you're up for it, man up and sign up. I don't want to hear your story-based argument after science is presented. If you're up for that, let me know. Udoka doesn't have a disorder it's most likely just unresolved childhood trauma. Easy to fix when he's ready to.
Happy to do that if Reeko can keep his **** together when I post my opinion. Will try not to detail the thread though, thanks. You're right, it's not a lot of fun this convo.
bet what…man, just post the evidence already now anyone who cheats has some unresolved childhood trauma…Lord have mercy
