I thought for sure Diaz would catch today since he caught Urquidy last time and didn’t PH last night, but I guess Dusty had other plans. This has to be beyond frustrating for Diaz.

I had hoped 6 shutout innings would earn Diaz another chance to catch Urquidy but nope. Chaz still out, hopefully Meyers can build on his last few games where he's looked almost like an MLB hitter again.

Javier had an era last year of like 2.25 in 160 innings and 210 strikeouts...... and an OPS against that starts with a ".5"

    Ill take that

Me: "What is the deal with Diaz? Seems like he should be playing more."

Employee: "Playing time is earned with Dusty - and not just with what you do on game day."

I don't agree with everything Dusty does.... he deserves criticism sometimes, but he also deserves credit when he is right.

He has played Dubon and Julks a lot - and they have hit well, and it also says that our player development and pro scouting department is really damn good.

Clearly LOL, the Astros have given up only 7 runs across his 4 starts and he has a .792 OPS in those games.

He's certainly not glued to the bench due to results.

Most of my criticisms about Dusty center around two things. Screwing over Chas and in game decisions around pinch hitting at the end of games.

I am stunned that in a lineup that includes Dubon, Meyers, and Maldonado - Bregman has the lowest AVG.
