I think Wheels should complain to the Texas commission that is responsible for the state's education strategic plan and execution. And if that doesn't work, he should remove the person that is responsible for assigning the leadership of that commission.
Texas under Abbott is a great example of what I just mentioned in another thread. His AG is under indictment and there are tons of othe ethical questions with the current leadership of Texas. Yet Abbott is pushing things like “wokeness” and claiming things to rile up people so the my focus on what are marginal or untrue to maintain power. This is what I mean by a wannabe Authoritarian populists.
This is a common tactic of the Right to wrap themselves in the Flag and say they are the ones who speak for and represent the country. At the same time though we see how frequently they put party and ideology over country. We saw it just this week where they are defending a what my all accounts is a dumb ass who took classified US military info and put it online to impress his group of hangers on. We see it most damning in defending people who literally assaulted our democracy on Jan. 6.
It's funny how this video of Pete stating FACTS is making right wingers go crazy. White America still has no idea how systematic racism was build into American society in the 1900s. The highway system systematically killed black land values and suppressed them for decades. It's funny how people don't realize the damage that was caused to black Americans.
I don't believe a word out of any Republican's mouth anymore. It started with Trump, but now I don't believe a word out of any of their mouths. What do these GOP politicians get paid to do that is actually benefitting the average American? I can't think of anything.

The GOP wants to keep the truth from their young, so they don't know how people of color in the deep south were really treated. It makes it easier for them to try and justify the nonsense that racism is an excuse made by families who suffered the horrors and inequality for decades.
