If we have draft capital leftover, I would like to address the te position. Our last great/solid one was Owen Daniel's, that position has been pretty garbage
Anyone want Budda Baker? I don’t know how he would fit with Pitre and Ward. Ryan’s wants to play Ward at safety but I think he could find a way to create nightmares for opposing offenses. We would have an elite secondary and could maybe trade back again after snagging the #3 and add more weapons on defense. Using this draft to cement this dog mentality or whatever is the quickest way to becoming AFC South champs again. Just a thought. Texans 2023 ARZ 3rd overall pick Budda Baker (take on the entire contract and/or extend him) ARZ 2023 Texans 2nd overall pick 2023 Texans third rounder #65 2023 Texans via DAL fifth rounder #161
It's a one year deal and it usually takes a rookie TE a year to adjust to the NFL game. Since this years TE class is loaded it's best to pickup a TE in this years draft. IMHO, plus all really effective WCO's usually have 2 good TE's.
The only thing worse than taking one of these QBs not named Bryce young, is spending EXTRA draft picks to do it…
To me, for him to show it on the HIGHEST STAGE is proof, he deserves to be picked #1 or #2. To me, most players play well when they are on their home field or occasionally on away games during the regular season but to play his best on the highest stage SAYS A LOT ABOUT WHAT HE IS MADE OF! Sure Willams and Maye put up numbers last but how did they finish?? People are saying trade down or wait until next yr, which I do not understand....they need to look at the whole picture!
You say look at the whole picture but make your judgement off of the Georgia game. The whole picture says Stroud is not good under pressure and more statue than not.
