Anybody watching Nets vs 76ers that still doesn’t want Harden and Bridges?!

You are probably right that they are not going to trade Bridges or tank. A man can dream.

They may indeed. The nets thought just lost their 7th playoff game in a row. I am hoping for 10 in a row myself.

Yes, me, the biggest Harden fan on this board bar none. I don't want him back right now. I watched the game and I knew before the playoffs Harden was going to have an amazing playoffs. I don't want Harden back unless we acquired another star first. I know Harden, that's not the Harden we'd be getting. The Harden we'd be getting is the one who is thinking "I tried winning a title, winning a title is not everything". Will be exactly like acquiring Barkley, we're just going to watch him get fat and old.

I'd love to get Bridges but for the millionth time, they rejected 4 first round picks before he broke out offensively. So if the price is 5+ first round picks, no I do not want him either.

Get someone else first. Why are Rockets fans so happy to overpay or get over the hill players? You feel in your heart time is slipping too fast, but look at the 30-team standings there are no teams that can afford to be more patient than us. We're the one. We're the team you hear about that can afford to be patient.

Some people think that the whole league revolves around Houston when the reality is that most NBA fans couldn't name 4 players on the team. They're not trading Bridges this summer guaranteed.

4 years max for Harden is just not a good value. I have no problem if the Rockets sign Harden to a 3 years deal. Also, I'd rather have Harden than trading half of our teams for Brown. The most ideal situation would be if we could wait for one more year to sign Brown via FA. That being said, I'm not sure the Rockets can wait for another year.

Bridges will take a god father offer to get. I don’t see him leaving New York and Nets have already rejected four firsts for him as it is .

Brown isn’t costing half our team to acquire…it would be a borderline top 20 player with 1 year remaining on his deal that’s on the trade block because he’s indicated he’s not re-signing in Boston so the Celtics are trying to not lose him for nothing

his salary isn’t that high either

most of our team sucks anyways so as long as we’re keeping Green, Jabari, and this year’s pick, the rest of the team can go for Brown

Their main players coming up for new contracts is not a favorable cap position for the Nets. They will have to pay Cam Johnson, Claxton, Royce, and maybe even Dinwiddie more to keep them. Joe Harris and Ben Simmons coming off the books will be great but I bet they end up in a similar position with no cap room in the next 2 years and not significantly better.

They may not trade Bridges but I think based on the second half of this year and their cap situation the Nets will be a mediocre team.

guys like Dinwiddie and Royce aren’t players u have to keep, they’re not difference makers…Claxton isn’t gonna be offered big money like that, he’s a zero on offense

unless they re-sign Cam Johnson to some outrageous number, he’s a good player that’s easy to trade…Bridges is already on a great deal giving u production that far exceeds his salary

spinning 100 mil coming off the books in the next 2 years as not a favorable cap position isn’t convincing to me

maybe Brooklyn re-signs all these guys to bad long-term deals, but we haven’t seen them do that yet

I would look more closely into Nic Claxton bro. Not a reasonable assessment to say he's a 0 on offense and not mention the quality of his defense. He's a DPOY calibre player with a 7'3 wingspan at the most important defensive position in basketball. If he improves his FT% (and he appears to have the touch to do it, even played PG growing up) he's going to be worth $20m+ per season.

They would drop any of those guys for Bridges and having flexibility with those contracts plus a bag full of draft picks is an amazing position to be in. They don't even own their picks, so they don't have to tank to have picks. I think they've done great.

Yes. They have quickly got back on the road to mediocrity.

I would like them to pick up Brown if they don’t have to break the bank to get him. He is not a good fit, but a good coach would make him fit. If you trade Sengun for him, then you have a hole at center and PG. I would rather concentrate on PG and backup defensive center than sign another SG. It is way too early to bail on Sengun, Green, or Jabari. Patience is key. There will be other tier 2 FA’s and possibly superstars that will become available over the next few years. We just need to see improvement this up-coming year and not rush a re-build that is really only 2 years in. The question is Brown the guy you want to build around and pay the max? My answer is no.

I still really wish we would have went after Claxton when he was a free agent last summer.

I was not aware that we were now going around collecting the best wing/guard from each playoff team.

Prepare for quite the offseason then - of disappointment.

I don't care what Harden looks like as a Sixer. I hope he stays up there.

If he was willing to give Houston a CONSIDERABLE discount, then maybe.

CF is only on team Harden, Brown or Bridges right now. Give it a few months and Lillard, Irving and Durant will be added to the list.

I think Harden would be ideal, but if that doesn’t happen I’d be happy with a Conley or Caruso for a year. I don’t want any of Lilliard, Irving, or Durant. Lilliard will cost too much in both money, players, and draft picks. Hell no to Irving for obvious reasons. Durant is just too old and fragile to spend both money and players on. Harden will cost money, but not any of our other capital and he fills our most needy position. He is still the best distributor in the league.
