2023 Silver Boot is 1-1... but Stros are +2 run-diff...... advantage Stros

Win Sunday too........ or lose/win the boot, and win the WS

    Stros have better odds

His exit velo DID NOT go down. He was hitting them at a lower angle as per the philosophy of his coach.

I admit I thought a different kind of special. I do hope this indicated a permanent improvement and not just a streak of his life.

I'm confident Javier will join the group. I'm hopeful Garcia will as well.

I am still not sure on Garcia, but unless the velo drop off for Javier is real his track record would indicate he should be among the best of that group. Once Lance is back the pitching will be very very good.

The bigger concern remains the lineup, especially if Chas goes out for an extended time and/or this version of Abreu remains. There is no depth, and hoping for two older players to return from injury and immediately hit is optimistic.

They will be fine overall, but this is feeling like a 90 win dogfight year, not a 100-win cakewalk to home field advantage.

Whitley is going to be what DeGrom has been.

I think Valdez, Javier, and Brown are locks to be very good. Urquidy will be his usual steady, but not great self. Garcia is the wild card. He can be great, average, or below average. Hopefully, we will have McCullers in the playoffs and I’m really sold on Blanco if needed.

People have said the same thing the last couple years when we were struggling (we were 11-11 last year not just 6-7) and we turned it up. we are going to be fine.
    win 2/3 of
Framber, Javier and Brown starts and split
Urquidy and Garcia and that’s a 97 win team.

The fact that were only 1.5 out of 1st with our usual slow start should concern the rest of the division not us.

We still have a ton of powder when it comes to internal improvement.

Whitley has a 95 mph slider, he laughs at these paltry low 90s sliders Brown is heaving.

Can't remember the last time I've seen an ump miscount the strikes on a batter.

Did he motion the batter was out? I couldn't make out what he was gesturing whether that was a strike or a strikeout.

UPDATE: the batter didn't get into the box in time and got assessed a strike to start off his AB. The Rangers TV broadcast is abysmal as per usual. They were busy ejaculating to the infield hit that plated the second run.

Sorry I was watching the replay of yesterday's game.

Thank you Mauricio Dubon, Chaz McCormick and specifically not Jose Abreu.
