I don't believe that the plan is/was to run a two combo guard system. I think the Rockets would love to have a PG that can run an offense. I also think that one way or another, we will have a new PG to take over next season. It may be Harden, Henderson or someone else but I believe that they'll bring in someone.

No player in NBA history has averaged 16 pts/game while taking 8 or less shots per game.

Which is why I'd be MUCH more impressed by it. That would be a super impressive thing.

@aelliott - just curious, which young Rockets player do you think is most promising? I think you are very knowledgable about advanced stats, so I'm very interested in your opinion. @NIKEstrad as well.

So all he's got to do is pull off something that's never been done before in order to impress you? Glad to see that you have realistic expectations.

Interesting that you call Green a "chucker" after a season with .539 efficiency but I don't recall you referring to KPJ as a chucker after his first two seasons in Houston when he posted .528 and .531 efficiency. Green's most recent season would be the 2nd most efficient season of Porter's 4 year career.

i feel like i've been a tad bit harsh saying that kpj would be out of the league soon. it was on the premise that no other franchise is going to waste their time on him. however, i've come to question my stance now. i overlooked fakers arrogance. leroids and pelinka may think they can fix this scrub (like they thought w/ westbrick). so in conclusion, there is a chance we can send kpj away to LA. of course they have no desirable assets to send back so we'd just be doing this bum yet another solid

I have also been thinking that they could be almost the only ones dumb enough to take him, because they are desperate to try anything to get something out of the remaining Lebron/Davis window (in reality, that's probably already closed, but...).

The answer is obvious - Victor Wembanyama :)

Green and Smith are the two that can be elite. Sengun can be very good too. I don't know if Eason will ever be an all star but I think that he's going to be good.

You don't think Sengun can be elite? Seems like he has been producing the best advanced stats, despite less usage.

I agree with you on them being the top 4 players we should try to keep.

I think that Sengun can be an all-star level player but I'm not convince of him becoming a super star. Developing a really good 3 point shot would help greatly.

There is no universe where Jabari ends up being a superstar. He's going to be #3 option in a contender at best if he physically develops and if he can hit 3s.

I guess I could slow this down for you in the hopes you'll follow along....Why shouldn't I be impressed if he had done that?

KPJ absolutely struggled with chucking before this season, it was one of the main things against him.....but you're not going to get away with lying to change the subject.

That is NOT going to get it done. The only way to get Brown while holding onto Green/Jabari/Sengun/2023 pick 1-7, is to trade practically everything else. Clippers pick, Nets assets, KPJ, Eason, Tate, Garuba, Christopher, TyTy, Martin (at least probably 4-5 of those guys) some to other teams for picks to send to Boston while perhaps taking a bad contract back. So something like

Clippers pick to either Boston or the 3rd/4th team
Nets 2 swaps and 2 picks to Boston
    Rockets future picks (2)
the young players going out from the rockets would be consolidated to other team or teams involved for one to two players that would go back to Boston

I don't know if i would do this though. Perhaps it would be better if you were adamant about Brown coming to the rockets and trading one of Jabari/Green/Sengun or 2023 draft pick. If you did what I typed above you would be down to zero assets/picks for what 5 years or more?

    Victor,Scoot,Miller etc
    Green
    Jabari
    Sengun
    Brown
    hopefully Eason
Harden or Van Vleet is a hell of a core though i dunno lol

The point wasn't that you "shouldn't be impressed" but rather that you chose something that had never been done as the criteria for you being impressed.

So yes.....I'd be more impressed by something that would be legitimately impressive than I would be for something that is not impressive.

What part of that makes it difficult for you to comprehend?

Are you the type that reads one thing that would impress a person as if it means it's the ONLY thing that would impress a person....because that would just be terrible reading comprehension.

Jalen upped his volume and dropped his efficiency. That's not impressive. Chucking is a bad thing.
