Trading 3-64 and a 2024 2nd for Mac? 1-2 Anderson 1-12 Bijan 2-33 Mac 3-64 Wypler 3-73 Mingo 4-103 Kuntz Difference makers. Sign me up for this
I wouldn't trade 3-64 OR a 2024 2nd for Mac! If I'm spending ANY day 1 or 2 pick(s) on a QB he's GOT to have top 10 potential minimum! No more riding the mediocrity train! I don't want to wait another 2-3 years to find out that our QB can't lead us to anything more than the #15 draft pick!
Raining threes caught the Cal McNair bug! Plan is to sell tickets for a QB! Although I still think Mac will be decent in the NFL.
Better than any QB in this class and trading for Mac leaves open drafting a QB in 2024' which is what I really want
There is a disparity between draft order based on immediate help verses long term potential. Different teams want or need different things at different times. Remember, HOUSTON saw how successful building from a foundation was for long term success with the Astros. I think bringing in a HC at the start of his career instead of the tail end gives Demeco and Caserio an extra couple of years. There may be title changes, but I think this team deserves a chance. I don't buy the owners wanting to get rid of Caserio just because he was an Easterly hire.. Anyway, BPA baby. Did I miss something? I show our picks at 3-65 and 4-104, but agree with 1-2, 1-12, 2-33 and 3-73.
By Mac, do you mean drafting for Will McDonald IV or a Mac Jones Trade involving the 2-33? Both make some sense
Nothing. CJ Stroud is following some Texans players (post 6210) Young is following QB coach Jerrod Johnson
This discussion has been almost as insufferable as the last time the Texans had the opportunity to draft a QB named Young. I don't have a strong opinion on any of this because I don't follow college football...but I'm really ready for this draft to be over.
I've seen 3-64 Miami forfeited their 1st rd pick which makes each pick 1 pick higher , hence 3-65 so I don't know how the 2nd pick in the 3rd rd could be 3-65, but the site said 3-65 and 4-104.
