clearly a hometown fav for obvious reasons but Sam I Am has been trying to get a HC job for quite a long time. something is just off. maybe his true calling card isn't to be a HC.
People on Clutchfans have been calling for Sam Cassell or Mario Elie to get an HC gig with us for a long time. I don't get it. If those guys were wanted, they would of been HC's a long time ago. If Kenny Smith didn't talk bad about us on national TV, he would be on the Clutchfans coaches wanted list. Can't blame them about having nostalgia of our championship years.
Yeah, I love those two for the rings and wouldn't mind them being on the team in some capacity (actually would love it, probably), but not as head coach. Not until they've shown there are other teams knocking on their doors, anyway.
