The Mental gymnastics by the kpj stans. Suggest trades to get a pg, is fine moving kpj back to sg, but the moment folks point out that this mindset is just proving everybody else point that he sucks at pg for the team, they get triggered and start blaming everybody else for whiffing.

Some folks ego r too big to admit kpj just sucks at pg and has to double down.
Who knows when they will admit that the kpj pg experiment was a failure/waste of time.

I know that you aren't the best or brightest even this cesspool has to offer, but try to follow along kiddo.

KPJ is a combo guard on a team that is otherwise lacking a competent PG or SG, if you got a competent PG, he could be that competent SG....if you got a competent SG, he could run the point since no one else was able to do so.

In a perfect world he'd either be a SG or playing next to a competent combo guard. Unfortunately we don't live in a perfect world.

I don't think anyone disputes that KPJ isn't a perfect fit at PG.....but he's the only player even halfway competent of filling that role because the Rockets completely lack guard talent outside of KPJ.

Do you think at any point you'll be able to admit that or are you just too invested in a false narrative for that?

Just to keep stirring the pot -- Jalen sits at .87ppp with a 43.1 frequency in those PNR sequences you mention in the 50th percentile. KPJ is at .84ppp on 42.6 frequency for 43rd percentile which is not great for either so not sure why you need to embellish the facts? Conversely looking at the isolation scoring KPJ is at 1.02ppp on 15% frequency which places him in the 72nd percentile while Jalen is at .94ppp on 11.4 frequency landing him in the 59th percentile. Maybe Im missing something here?

Yes you are. You even posted the frequency % which makes me confused on how you are missing it.

I voiced this and a related problem repeatedly. KPJ's level of eye-hand coordination, and control over the ball when passing is bad compared to elite/very good passers and shooters. That is very easy observe in his passes. If you just concentrate on the passes during a game, you'll see that they are either too fast, too low, off to the right or left, almost never in the neighborhood of a perfect pass. He can't make some easy alley oop passes and passes in transition.

It is probably the reason why he can't improve his shooting. There is hardly any improvement in his shooting. His efg% is .522 compared to .511 previous year on a 15% higher volume. Very mild improvement, which is very possible a random statistical deviation. The only solid improvement is his ft% which is also the reason why he has a better ts%.

The most frequent guard possession, pnr primary ball handler, Green is more efficient per possession on higher volume.

Like it's becoming obvious you are trolling.

Oh good, you found a single cherry to pick LOL.

You player first type fans are hilarious.

The best part is that I know you know that you are a bad faith actor.....but you just can't help yourself. You are too committed to your shtick.

So that .03 difference in ppp in those sequences was enough to categorize it as Jalen being far and beyond better? Bit sensationalistic dont you think?

We are speaking about a primary guard possession that accounts for half of their possessions.

I said nothing about "far and beyond". The fact is their iso possessions a small sample size.

Pnr possessions are the bread and butter play for KPJ and Green.

I know you are super proud about the cherry you managed to pick.....but for the sake of conversation, what happens to PnR stats when there's no competent PnR roll man?

Sengun was in the 46th percentile as a roll man, Jabari and Tari were in the 17th percentile.

The only real option on the team was KJ Martin and he almost never did it.

Of course, that's the kind of context a good faith actor would look at before taking victory laps about a .03 PPP difference between guards.

I know you have nothing else to go on, and you're just a propaganda minister for the Jalen Green fan club, but I ask that you put forth just a bit more effort.

Don't run with every small cherry picked nugget you find...I know there's not many, and you're REALLY thirsty, but try to show restraint.

I might even be inclined to say this team was more DHO than PNR anyway. That could change with the new coach, but I think you are reaching in order to paint a precise picture vs looking at the team globally. To each his own.

Goes back to what I be telling SOFs. There’s stats, player/coaches compliments, and comparisons that can be made for KPJ as well. If this were Sengun, his fans would be saying he’s the next MJ lol

He can become the next Tyreke Evans.

    That's his ceiling.

Another one of those stupid "arbitrary milestones we just made up" things. Lies, damned lies, and statistics.

But for the record, of that bunch, KPJ is definitely closest to Tyreke Evans and will probably have a similar career trajectory.

Sorry you misspelled SGA - that is the trajectory KPJ is on currently.....just needs 2 more years....but he is an outstanding player who for some reason fans want to b**** about.

He is developing uncannily well, and has grown massively this season as a Combo lead guard.

Stone is right, all you folks that hate him are just flat out missing the opportunity to watch development as it goes.

KPJ is part of this team's core - DEAL WITH IT !!!
