Totally agree. People are writing Jalen off way too quickly. He is our superstar of the future and we may have another one as well. This re-build is going well. Silas slowed it, but a decent coach is going to change a lot of minds. I just hope Fertita and Stone don’t panic and waste all our resources on guys like Brown or Bridges (draft picks yes, our top players no). Harden and/or Bridges would make us relevant sooner, but we would still need Green, Jabari, and Sengun to be competitors in 2-3 years.

I wouldn't send high draft picks for that level of player either. Not at this stage anyway--give it another year or two before you're willing to make those kinds of deals. Low draft picks like the Clippers/Brooklyn picks, sure.

Hell no. Brown is a really nice player, top 30ish, but he's more of a "super" role player. Great scorer, but doesn't do much of anything else. You don't give up two guys who still have potential to be better than Brown in a few years. I'd give up maybe 3 of the picks and like a Tari Eason or someone.

He is more of a second option but not a role player.

If he improves, he can be a fringe top player, somewhere near Top 16 or something.

He has mostly improved each and every year but that was on a stacked Boston team.

If he were transferred to a bad to mediocre team, his scoring explodes but so would his usage rate and inefficiency.

I think they would rather part with Luguentz Dort than Giddey.

    Completely agree.

I'm of the belief Silas did what upper management told him to do.

There were 29 other head coaching jobs...if Silas said no, it risked having
    him black-balled among the league.

Doing what he was told, Rockets will gladly give a good reference in his job search.

    while resting the other.

Tari with Jabari together gives you top notch defensive possibilities.
Common sense says play them more and often together.

Nobody wanted to see 6'3" Eric Gordon playing SF and giving
low energy while shooting 35% from 3 while we could
have been playing someone taller and more athletic.
I don't know.....maybe someone like Kenyon or Tari?

Everyone was ball watching until KPj sat before the All Star Break.....
then they implement movement. Coaches could have insisted
earlier; but was it in our best Wemby interest?

I understand though that the flavor of the month is a 41/41 Raptors
Nick Nurse or Ime and you have to get them before they are taken.

*That Raptors team is way too talented to be .500. Just my opinion.

Yea I agree, I mean depending on who we pick in the draft I'd perhaps be willing to part with ONE of Green or Sengun, but not in a million years both. He didn't really get better from last year to this year but he may have more value on another team, sure.

A 20 win team giving up the store for a #2 already in his prime makes little sense.

Yes. I wouldn’t send for top 2, but I’d consider using 3-7 and some of the Brooklyn picks for him. He is still young and is really good on defense. I only want Bridges if the price is reasonable. I wouldn’t give up any of our best players with the exception of KPJ. It is way too early to give up on Sengun, Green, or Jabari for a vet. My take is we should sign Harden or Conley and sign Bridges if all it costs us is the Brooklyn picks and we don’t have to do it in the off-season. We are the only team that can help the Nets tank. In my opinion, the Nets can either tank now by trading with us or be mediocre to bad for 4 seasons and then tank. They are in a horrible position.

The younger generation is more emo and more impatient so there is a chance a Luka or Trae shakes loose.

Damian Lillard could also be moving .....we shall see.

Not this year but rather soon.

Any of the coaches mentioned will be an upgrade to Silas, but I’m not a Nurse fan either. Atkinson would be my pick.

Yep, and any pick that is not number 1 this year should be the prime building block of the trade.

Definitely not 2 of those in one trade

I’m honestly against trading our best players until I see what they look like under a real coach

So we are all in agreement that this is basically a lose lose type of trade? No one wins out on this trade. The Rockets trade away two potential stars of the future for a guy who is a star now ready to contribute to a contender on a team that is multiple years away from that and the Celtics get two players who aren't ready to contribute to a contender when they are trying to win with Tatum now.

    Sorry you feel that way.

I don't know why people like Atkinson so much.

He has coached 4 full seasons and just barely got over .500 once. That was only because Kyrie joined the team.

All of Durant and Kyrie got him kicked to the curb because they saw him as a bum.

That is not very smart by 26 year old Jaylen Brown, if he is serious about winning it all.........He is not some Christian Wood bouncing around guy trying to prove himself.

They saw him as someone who probably instills more structure. Did you forget what he did with the Nets with DLo as their best player? That is is a much better indicator of his coaching acumen. When Durant and Kyrie are on your team your job as a coach is to be a baby sitter and control egos.
