The new coach will have second/third year players getting close to their prime years and a team looking toward winning, with plenty of space and assets to spend.
It's the same dysfunctional mismatched players (assets) and the same questionable ownership and mgmt that have been the dregs of the league for 3 yeaes- I'm loathe to consider it that different unless Harden level talent is actually acquired other than in Woj tweets. Now on some level you can't make the Rockets coaching job that unattractive as there's only 30 such jobs in the world and only a handful change every year. But, one is hard pressed to say it's a substantially more attractive situation than Detroit or Toronto or whatever else would be available.
