Interesting. Lance Zierlein says Vegas oddsmakers don’t have inside information. They set their odds based on the mock drafts. He said Frank Reich wants Stroud, but the owner wants Young.
I doubt there’s a predraft trade regardless. Teams know, it could be smoke but the 3rd pick is very much enticing if Stroud is there and we pass. Teams will be able to jump Indy.
Seems to be a lot of conflicting reports going on! If I have and insider hierarchy.. Ian is at the top. So until he say Texans aren’t going qb at 2 I’m not believing anything.
Interesting…could we be looking to trade up or down for #3? Bryce/CJ & Anderson/Carter? Anderson & Carter?
If we aren't taking a QB at 2 trade back with the Raiders. I want the 7th pick, the 38th pick, and their 1st round pick next season. If the 4 QBs end up going before 7 you get one of the top 3 non-QBs in the draft whether that is Will Anderson, Tyree Wilson, Jalen Carter, etc, etc...
"got an text from an Gm from a NFC team saying hey your mock draft is closest to what reality is" "Darnell wright is going higher than people think, Paris johnson will go lower than what people think, will drop" "oddsmakers look at mock drafts and set their oddds based on that, vegas oddsmakers don't have inside information" "60-65 percent chance that Texans take Stroud at 2" "Frank Reich doesn't want BY, Panthers owner want BY and he will get it unless he wants to back off of it" "the rumors is that CJ did not score well on the C2 and BY's number is extremely high, has there been any QB in the last 7 years that has a low score did well as a QB? No" "Wilson is not as skilled as Anderson, Anderson is already skilled but will not get a lot better, teams want guys who can get a lot better, no inside info on who the texans actually want on defense" "I have talked to 3 teams that have Tyree ahead of Will Anderson" "I havent heard anything that will take me off of drafting CJ Stroud"
No, they couldn't. No way. 6 and 18, yes. 6 and a first next year, maybe. Trade chart shows 6, 18, and a 81 is about equal value, but slightly skewed in the Texans favor.
They set their odds based on the money coming in. Their goal is always to have equal money coming in on both sides. They are very happy to take their 10% and run.
Strangly enough it could be trade up. I wonder how the fanbase would take your first option.. Cause if they trade up I think that’s what they would do Bryce/CJ & Anderson/Carter?
Very lazy and idiotic take. Why would Caserio take a QB higher than 60s when he has Tom Brady on his team?
Sorry for the double post, but since we're playing scenarios, here's one I made up: What if the Texans love Stroud and Bryce. They know the Panthers will take Bryce. They leak that they want Will Anderson while having a wink wink with Stroud. They know the Titans love Stroud. The Colts like him too. They've now created a bidding war between the two teams in the division over who will get Stroud. The titans trade up, trading the farm to move that high. The Texans rug pull with a gotcha, and draft Stroud. The Titans are now left holding the bag and forced to draft from Levis, Hooker, and Richardson after giving up the farm. The Colts can draft whoever is left. These are the types of games going on. They can, and will, be played. In my opinion, that's something close to what's going on.
Texans have never drafted a guy, going into the draft, that I liked. With that said, it’ll probably look more like this: 1.2 - Will Anderson 1.3 - Will Levis
The guard was playing hurt last year. Stingley may never be as good as Sauce, but if he turns out to be a CB1 I will be happy.. That's a Lovie pick. Cal promised the pick to get Lovie to become the HC.
Likely these will be the 2 guys picked. Unlikely that it's at 1-2, 1-3. How do you feel about these 2 guys being the picks. If Levis doesn't workout then Caserio is gone. There could also be a trade of 3-64 and a future 3rd that can be a 2nd for Mac, depending on how Mac plays.
