You'll have to excuse me. It's just can't understand why no one is seeing obvious signs. Now there's been another piece of the puzzle recently discovered. Cameron Newton wants to come back and play with Richardson.
So now you got a better team thanks to FA(1st piece), you signed a backup QB in Keenum and now you have Newton, who Richardson looks up to, wanting to help him out.

Lol at Anthony Richardson AND Cam Newton...you can't make this stuff up. Nobody wants Cam Newton. He's one of the many athletic QB's that lost their legs, and inevitably their skills. Cam hasn't played good football since he didn't dive on that fumble (slight hyperbole)... but all things considered...no thanks

The knock on CJ for having great WRs is silly.

Texans fans should know more than most that yeah, great WRs can make a QB look better than he is, see most of Andre's career but...a great QB also makes them look better. It could be that CJ is making it that much easier for them to not only catch but run after because his accruacy is that legit.

Thing is, great WRs or no, great QBs produce. Brady and Rogers and countless others prove that. I mean Mahomes lost a top weapon and still went on to produce and win a superbowl.

Long story short, if Texans pass on Stroud they better be right because I have a feeling we will hate that mistake for a long time.

I want Bryce over Stroud too but you take a top QB prospect when you can get one and move on.

Here is what the Manning brothers feel about the 3rd round 5th grader some here like to reference

Breaking down Bryce Young’s film with his brother, Pro Football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning added another quarterback to the growing list of comparisons to the Alabama signal-caller.

While watching Young’s college tape alongside Eli Manning, as part of Omaha Productions’ new show On the Clock, the older Manning brother mentioned Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and Russell Wilson as professional quarterbacks that can be seen in Young’s game. But Peyton had another comparison to share – one that isn’t as popular – former LSU star Joe Burrow.

“I think Brees and Russell Wilson are kind of the easy comparisons because of the size similarities,” said Peyton Manning in the On the Clock segment that will air on ESPN2. “But when you talk to real scouts … Burrow is kind of the guy that comes to mind, right? Because of the, sort of, the sixth sense in the pocket, the decision-making, processing information quickly.

“I’m not saying Bryce is going to have that same success as Joe right away. But I think the instincts that Joe has that Bryce had, the ability to beat the coverage keeps a lot of plays alive. ... Recognition, processing, instincts, you see a little bit of Joe Burrow in Bryce Young.”

Added Eli Manning, “I like that comparison. I wouldn’t have thought of that.”

“He’s been playing at this height for a while now,” Peyton Manning said. “You figure it out. Drew Brees figured it out as well as anybody, right? You find throwing lanes. It would be different if he was 6-4 all through college and now all of a sudden, he’s only 5-10. He knows how to do it.”

Eli Manning agreed, “You can find the windows and find the lanes. He’s obviously done it at an extremely high level his whole career, so I’m not worried about the height at all.”

I am resigned to the expectation the Texan will go QB, even though my draft board goes:

    1. Young QB 1
    2. Anderson ED(LB) 2
    3. Carter DI 4
    4. Murphy ED (DE) 6
    5. Stroud QB 3
    6. Wilson LB 11
    7. N Smith LB
    8. Skoronski OL 5
    9. Witherspoon CB 8
    10. JSN WR 10
    11. Gonzales CB 12
    12. Branch S 13
    13. Johnson OL 16
    14. Levis QB
    15. Robinson RB 7
    16. Porter CB 14

Try to recoup some of the capital they traded away and still get their QB.

It’s not the height, it’s the size. Every analysis I posted of Bryce here has size and durability because of that. He weighed in at 204 at the combine and didn’t throw then at his pro day, he didn’t weigh in but threw

And it is such an issue two former great NFL QBs never brought it up. In doing an analysis wouldn’t you think they would discuss that if they thought it was a problem?

This tells me no one know what the hell is going on at 1! Different insiders have different predictions.. April 27th can’t come fast enough!

Hell the Panthers still aren't 100% certain. I'd think if they knew they wouldn't want their guy working out for other teams and risk getting hurt.

Yea but I don’t trust their analysis; you got guys like brugler and our own heads to know there was a reason why he put on that weight at the combine and didn’t throw and then didn’t weigh in at his pro day and threw. Availability is the best ability. I would love him if he’s the pick at 2 but I would still have the same concerns. He doesn’t really have the body to pack on more size either

No disrespect toward you but I trust people who have not only played the position at the highest level but also been extremely successful. Injury is inherent in the game but throughout his career his slight frame has not made him more prone to injury than others playing the position. Actually, his history has shown just the opposite.
