Look, I know you are the president of the Jalen Green fan club and you have some pretty outlandish takes when it comes to his level of play but c'mon man. Trae is already a more efficient scorer than Green is likely to ever be, he's a better playmaker, and he's a better defender....not that it means anything because almost every player in the NBA is a better defender than Green. My concerns about Trae have more to do with his attitude and maturity problems than anything on the court. I wouldn't want to make that trade because I'd be worried about Trae melting down and being a locker room problem....but from a talent standpoint, it would be a no brainer. Of course, talent alone doesn't matter, and that's why Atlanta is looking to ship him.
Says a guy who blindly supports KPJ considering that's exactly why Cleveland dumped him. And who has melted down here too.
this lots of articles about Young being the big problem in Atlanta, like this one: https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/...yder-is-there-to-fix-it-one-way-or-the-other/ I doubt he'd find religion with a change of venue
Thanks @Nook Appreciate your contribution. It seems Stone´s have a lot of slides done, but no actual plans on how to get there. Just a lot of wishes. May the ping pong balls fall in our favor.
Exactly, now that's not to say that he would be a problem elsewhere, it's just that the Rockets aren't currently in a position to take that kind of risk. Though they were a few years back and thus far a similar experiment has worked out for them pretty well.
I want you to hold my hand and go through how you formed these conclusions besides the claim about playamking which is not debatable and without just box score analysis. I want you to describe on court abilities between the two. I want you to show me you are analyzing the game beyond box score watching.
I don't doubt that you would need me to hold your hand and walk you through what is obvious based on both the metrics and the "eye test"....but I'm also sure that as a Jalen Green superfan, there's nothing that would convince you that he's not the next coming of MJ, only better. So really what would be the point? I will say though, perhaps take a quick look at TS% of the two and see if it tells you anything.
Good I want a hot disgruntled star trade market. C’mon KAT and LaVine start demanding out. We need a top 3 pick, one big FA signing and one disgruntled star trade.
No win situation. Your bosses tell you play player X for the purpose of building trade value or "Tanking"....... you do it and you get fired because the team looks bad. or don't do it and you get fired.....sooner *I said in pre season I wouldn't play Eric Gordon much. Place him in bubble wrap. *I would have played Tari and Jabari often together from Dec on *I would have staggered the minutes of KPj and Jalen Green early in the season * Josh Christopher would have gotten much more burn time (good defender/needed to learn by way of getting play time) *The kids wanted to win......front office did not. Players will not respect anyone that is holding them back. Regardless if Silas disciplined them or other. The players know things should have been better.....they probably don't understand it was dictated by the front office. Next year our pick goes to the Thunder.....No more holding them back. Correct @peleincubus
Suggs for Jalen Porter I meant Kevin Porter. @Jontro Go sports! (The Hornets have virtually nobody top talented outside of LaMelo)
Pretty surprising about KPJ after you reported earlier about him getting kicked out of practices and treating the employees badly amongst other things.
I enjoy your posts and you have excellent information. But this 35 wins is a big stretch IMHO. It really depends on who we pick up in free agency. This roster unchanged would be lucky to win 28 games. Would free agents not named Harden be worth another 7 wins? I'm doubtful.
I think they'd have made it to 30 this year if Green and Smith didn't struggle so much early in the season and the Rockets had KPJ all season long. I don't think it's really that much of a stretch assuming you get some improvement from the young guys and a competent coach....even if they don't meaningfully add to the roster.
