Silas got a raw deal. Our team was among the youngest in the league, tons of lineup changes, roster log jams, star players demanding out, organization tanking etc..Yet you guys flamed him for things outside his control. The Spurs suck as well, but nobody's calling Pop "incompetent", "dumb azz" or a "low IQ".

So whoever our new coach is, keep that energy the same! Let's see the same expectations for our newly named coach. Whether it's Nurse, Atkinson, Vogel, it's only right we see the same insults thrown if the team under performs. Accountability as fans here is a must. I've been taking names & will remind you if you're criticism is inconsistent

he had all the fan support his first year here (despite the canary in the coal mine harden wanting to bolt the minute his hiring was announced). but he stopped getting any benefit of the doubt when he threw his players under the bus whilst never once taking responsibility for the mountains of unprecedented losses. even looking past his worst ever record, his teams were consistently unprepared, disorganized, high school amateurish and his rotations were re-tarded AF. the couple times lucas filled in for him the difference was stark. basically any other coach is going to be a massive upgrade

Silas sucked as a coach, he was ass!

If you take a job and you are paid $3m a year, and the job changes, you need to take that job on and do the best you can, you can't just sit there and bemoan the situation.

He ran a weak program with zero accountability, he is not an NBA head coach, he is a good assistant coach.

    Good riddance.

The Rockets were forced to start Nix & Garuba for stretches. Is that a winning combination?

I highly doubt there is a single person on CF that gives a flying **** what you think, whose name you take, or if their’s is on your list. You do you though!

Pop has a plan, he went young, he tanked on purpose but he holds people accountable, no one cares about the record it was the lack of accountability for young players, the lack of a decent system, the lack of having plays run for Jabari (said so himself), he may be decent for a veteran team but he is a cancer for young developing players who need discipline.

Their most talented players are Keldon Johnson, Devin Vassel and Sochan.

They are supposed to lose that many games.

Lol. The Spurs were 22-60 lol. How much accountability can there be? And how stupid are you to think we’ve been tanking on accident this whole time? Fan accountability!!!

Does it matter? The fact they HAD to start gives you a idea of how bad the options were for Silas

Worst 3 year coaching record in NBA history - case closed....he is gone, go follow him to his next assistant coaching gig, no love lost for him here.

Silas got a raw deal... but who decided to start Fernando over Sengun? who decided to prioritize vets over development of young players (during a rebuild no less)? bad decision after bad decision with this guy. it doesn't matter how bad the roster was or how many games they lost, he still made poor choices most of the time.

this is the same idiot who started fernando over sengun, who took the ball out of harden’s hands and put it in wall’s, who chose to play nix every nite lololol

    defending him is insanity

How do you want him to take responsibility? What do you want him to say? In most if not all of his post game pressers he used the collective word we and our. Has any coach in the league used the words “It’s my responsibility and my fault we lost the game”?Is this the norm for coaches to say this? When did he throw players under the bus? Perhaps you are talking about Silas mentioning that Sengun couldn’t defend the pick and roll against Portland? Do you at any point think the public message was to challenge Sengun to play better because he sees something great in Sengun and wants him to grow? Sengun even admitted that he needed to work on his pick and roll defense which improved a little in the latter part of the season.

We were tanking these 3 years. Aren’t you a Sengun fan? He wouldn’t be here if we weren’t losing on purpose. Pick a side
