Seriously. The last three years have sucked, and as much bickering as there is on this forum, the people who still post here genuinely give a damn about this franchise. It's worth occasionally putting away the boxing gloves in these threads and actually appreciating that about each other and that we have a place where so many people actually give a damn about such a struggling organization.

We'll be back eventually, fellas. Hopefully sooner rather than later. At least they ended the season with some signs of hope, for what it's worth.

I feel proud. Wanted to be a head coach my whole life. Wanted to be like my dad.
Proud of these guys, their hard work, their growth, their maturity as they got through the season
There’s been a lot of talk about my job for a long time, for a couple months and they kept playing and working. They weren’t worried about that. They were worried about getting better and playing hard for their coach. I’m proud of that.

(Told anything?) Supposed to have a meeting tomorrow morning.

(Allowing yourself to be proud?) Definitely a hard year. Death is hard when the person closest to you, who teaches you all about what you’re doing on a daily basis, lose him, makes it difficult but those group of guys wouldn’t quit, tried hard and wanted to do the right things and a staff full of people I could share quiet moments with or lean on. It’s difficult. Death is a difficult thing but when you have the people around you, especially like the players in that locker room, makes it a little easier.
