JXN will be in the first round this year. So Olave, Wilson, and JXN will be first rounders. Harrison Jr. could be a first rounder next year. You have to admit this is not normal.
Interesting point - is Stroud making his receivers better or is it the other way round? There is a strong case that Stroud is making his guys better. Harrison Jr.should be the #1 WR in next year's draft.
Hard to tell. Both his WRs balled out in their rookie year this year. I'd argue that throwing to wide open, first round WRs makes Stroud better.
I’d honestly rather have Levis than Hooker. Hooker just screams bust to me. So does Levis, but Hooker is coming from one of the most dumbed down QB friendly offenses you’ll ever see. It’s the Briles offense that RG3 ran at Baylor. Just a crap ton of deep shots and straight vertical routes. Almost nothing over the middle of the field. They would be timed last year where you could barely even see Tennessee’s WRs on the screen because they consistently line up soooooo far out wide, creating favorable angles/matchups for the QB to throw into. Add on top of that the fact that he’s already like 25, no thanks.
Joe Burrow played with arguably one of the greatest WR core at LSU but the narrative is that he made them better.. for whatever reason when it’s Stroud it’s used as a negative.. just strange to me.. BY Heisman trophy year he had a great team around him.. I didn’t see it as a negative.. just he plays great with talent around.. that’s what’s supposed to happen right…?
What's more important, getting our GOAT this year or next? I am very optimistic about 2023 and would value a future draft pick in the middle third. But I also suspect our Cleveland pick to be middle third as well. But I just don't see any of the good QB's this year being a GOAT. What I fear is getting a good QB that will lead the team to playoffs and playoff losses. I suppose this comes from ancient Oiler disappointments rather than recent Texan ones.

They have to take a qb high: all the good ones will be taken high in the draft. It would be malpractice to punt on a qb this year and leave demeco out to dry without one. Now if they lose next year and get 1, everyone in here will want Caleb but no guarantee to go number one again. another reminder that the cards are a horribly run franchise also
20/20 hindsight is great isn’t it. Mahomes was such a guaranteed star that nine teams passed on him in the draft. There is never any certainty if a QB is going to make it or not.
Before Mahomes, scouts were like we aint touching no Texas Tech qbs with a 40 ft pole. There is always one that breaks the stereotyping. So I never hold X player for playing at Y college.
