It's faithful to the Rebels cast if you watched it, Ezra can be seen in a hologram at 1:20something and we saw Zeb in the last episode of Mando. This trailer has me really excited, I loved the Rebels crew but at times didn't enjoy the occasional childish feel (more so than with Clone Wars), so this one looks perfect. Curious as to who the blonde/white hair looking female Jedi is, she looks a lot like Lana from Swtor, but that doesn't fit the timeline obviously.
Cool, she still wasn’t a good actress or really that important of a character. I am sure they can find another actress to stare intensely at the camera and recite wooden dialogue.
I'm still kind of surprised that they're making a direct live action followup to the animated series. This is basically a new season of Clone Wars/Rebels.
This looks really good. I didn't watch the canon cartoons so I'm just sort of aware of her backstory as Anakin's padawan. I do have some reservations that it might be a girl power fest and have Kathleen Kennedy's DNA all over it, but they've been doing good work the past few years with the shows so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. At any rate I know my kids will love it.
The episode of The Mandalorian she was in last year was great. As long as they keep to that standard.
As somebody who watched Rebels the characters we saw in the trailer are exactly the ones I expected to see. I know why the male characters from the show don't appear, at least not prominently in the trailer. It didn't even occur to me that there were only females in the trailer until people started commenting on it.
Just finished my rewatch to be freshly prepared for Ahsoka. I think a lot of the deeper and emotional moments make Rebels my favourite Star Wars series after Mando, the show really nails the nature of the force and Jedi, companionship. The ending sequence of the season 4 finale is also exactly where the live Ahsoka trailer starts, so I'd recommend everyone to watch Rebels, as it will be a direct plot continuation and can be seen more like a season five. Not watching Rebels and going straight into Ahsoka should be like skipping the first two movies of the other trilogies or Lord of the Rings and going straight into the 3rd movie without knowing what happened before.
If anybody was even considering watching Rebels to prep themselves, you could basically skip the entire first season save for the premier and finale. The rest of the way Rebels is really strong star wars content, but the first season felt far too much like an episodic kids show.
New TV spot and release date reveal.... Those Disney+ subscribers going through Star Wars withdrawal won’t have to wait any longer as the streamer has set August 23 for the premiere of Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: Ahsoka series.
