Welp... that one kind of hurt, I guess. Clippers only have 2 games left : POR and PHO. I don't feel good about the POR game and no telling about the PHO game or if they may rest people. The pick currently sits around 18-19, but I guess could still swing a few spots with the games left.
Ime at the game about to sleep with the Lakers VP’s wife. **** the sorry Ass lakers and **** the clippers for not playing westbrick in the 4th
I wonder if this happens with players more than we realize. Cuz this includes all his playoff appearances where there's no reason to load manage. But not the best look for Kawhi
So with the Fakers ****ing it up and losing, what does it look like now? 2 games left for the Clips - Blazers and Suns. 2 games left for the Warriors - Kings and Blazers. My guess - 2 wins for the Clips (Blazers have given up and I think the Suns will sit everyone since they are set at the 4th seed). 2 wins for the Warriors (Blazers have given up and the Kings will sit everyone since they are the 2nd seed). The Clippers (8-7) currently own the tiebreaker over the 42-38 Warriors (6-9) with a better record in the Pacific Division. Most likely, we're getting the 19th pick.
If we get the #1 pick (Wemby) I wonder if we can package #19, a BKN 1st and say Martin for like a Top 10 pick. I think the ultimate take home at this point would be Wembanyama and Walker. PG - Harden / Washington SG - Green / Porter / Christopher SF - Smith / Eason PF - Sengun / Garuba ..C - Wembanyama / Walker I know Wemby wants to play more if a wing, frankly I don't care where he plays. You get that starting 5 on the court you're gonna do a lot of damage.
no one gives a F about a 2nd rounder in KJ Martin! Throw in KPJ, Sengun and Tate in the mix then they will talk
The spacing with that lineup would be ass. You have literally no player on the floor who has shot 34% from 3 other than Harden. Green 33.7% Smith 30.6% Sengun 32.1% Wemby 30.4% from international 3. Green, Smith & Sengun have gotten a lot of open looks from distance too, it's not like they are taking contested shots. They just aren't (haven't been?) good shooters thus far. I think the highlights of Wemby have given people a kind of false sense of his shooting ability. His EFG% is worse than KPJ.
It's not just about current statistical percentage. Scouts think Wemby has good shooting mechanics and will knock down those shots in the near future, and I believe them. They're not usually wrong when they're this high on a prospect. I also expect Green to make a big leap forward on 3P% next season. In recent history, the third season is when it often "clicks" for guys.
