Dubon came within inches of hitting a 3 run double, going opposite field on a great pitch. Had that ball dropped in, his stats are very different. I’m definitely not a fan of Dubon but we shouldn’t be calling for heads after a week.
Javier and the other pitchers did not do him any, like zero, favors. Bases were not stolen on him, per se. His arm is not a cannon, but he's very good behind the plate. Javier likes him, so whatever.
Brilliant. I can totally hear Gleasons voice. I read it aloud and died. Just need to add at the very end “JUNIOR”
Every once in a while it will be on TBS or TNT on a weekend as I’m flipping around and as much as my better half hates me for it I watch it and LMAO.
I absolutely love that guy, if he could have stayed healthy, he was perfect. Who/what/howmuch is he playing for now? eta: also, I think Hensley = Diaz, but nobody planned on Altuve being out for a couple of months, so think about that?
I think that is a big part of it. I think the price was too much for the Astros as well. Especially considering Diaz signed right around the time Contreras signed with the Cardinals. So Astros probably needed the financial flexibility.
Astros have every Thursday off the rest of the month. Hensley should be at 2nd, DH, or 1st every game if it was up to me....
I don't have a problem with that...at some point they will give Pena a day off so Dubon will probably be at SS that day. Then Abreu will get a day off or maybe a DH day. Should not be complicated to keep Hensley in the lineup....
