Dear Future Me, Today Jalen Green dropped a monstrous game on the number 1 seed featuring a grown up 16/13/1 with great defense from Jabari and Alperen Sengun outplayed Nikola Jokic. A nice little milestone. There were no veterans in the rotation. The oldest player in our rotation was a 23 year old KJ Martin I think. It was just one game but to be honest with you, almost all of us felt like it was a turning point. A goodbye to 3 disgusting years of tanking that took the soul out of this team. The future is bright. A lightbulb went on for a few of these guys. It was really the best game of the season for understanding what the future can possibly look like without having to desperately throw money at anyone. The Green Revolution is alive and well with Jabari and Sengun stars in the making themselves. We've heard some great things about his attitude recently and to see him have an almost perfect game like this on both sides of the floor was awesome. I know it's just a game but it wasn't just a game. It's as clear as ever now that what Jalen has that separates him is an elite skill: if he improves at an average rate, in a few years he can beat the best defender in the NBA on the best defensive team in the NBA to the basket in a playoff game. Jalen has that superhero kind of potential. His quickness attacking the basket is ELITE. In this chapter, I became certain Jalen becomes a scoring star in 2023-2024. I believe Jalen and the team will redeem themselves next season. Please read below for some more thoughts about Jalen's progress and projected potential. It's a pretty bipolar range of opinions right now, I think. Regards, Current Me
That JG, JC, Tari, Bari and AlP line up was nice. He's come a long way as a lead guard in a short time.
Totally misread this as: in a few years he can BE the best defender in the NBA on the best defensive team in the NBA
