Pelicans lost. Wolves won. Miami won. Lakers leading by a thin margin in the 4th. Warriors trailing by 10 points at the half.
Man, that was close. I feel dirty rooting for the Lakers. Good thing it's against Utah. Two of my most hated teams.
Come'on Golden State and Lakers!! Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine I would be saying these words!!
Clippers/ Lakers tomorrow I'll be chanting the classic: BEAT LA (Clippers) We basically need the Lakers and Warriors to win out, and it will put the Clippers in the play-in games, having to get through the Pels and/ or Wolves to make the playoffs.
So looking at this, it looks like the farthest they will drop is 9th. What does that translate to where they'll be in the draft?
Depends on how they do in the play-in. Last year they lost in the play-in.... 1 12 Jalen Williams SG United States Oklahoma City Thunder (from LA Clippers) Santa Clara (Jr.)
Imagine if they get drummed out of the play-in and we get to pick a guy like Cason Wallace or Taylor Hendricks. Would be a killer trade if it gets us close to the top 10.
So the draft order doesn't set until after the play-in? I thought it didn't matter and it was where they landed in the regular season.
It’s looking like the Clippers should finish with at least 42 wins. They have one puff team in the Blazers, and two highly motivated Teams in the Lakers and Suns. The trade seemed ehh at first, but getting a player in the 16-19 range carry’s value. Vs. Getting a guy in the 30 range; Where it’s guaranteed money and possible 2nd round talent. At least disgruntled Gordon is casting his murky shadow somewhere else. Only sucky thing about the trade is I’ve been rooting for the Warriors and Lakers…
