The ONLY a thing that is still an unknown is Hinch agreed with Cole that he would give him a clean inning. Obviously that wasn’t possible so I ask AGAIN would Cole not have taken the mound??

Judging Cole's postgame antics (Boras hat and I'm an employee of blah blah blah), I'm not sure what time he was on

But his time didn't seem overly Astros centric

I’m guessing Dana and Dusty will have a little talk.

Time to call up Dirden. If we are going only going to make contact every other game, then might as well have it be for extra bases.

Meyers shouldn’t be anyway near the lineup. Nor Dubon. Why aren’t we playing Chas and Hensley?
    TX 3-2 now

You all do know that the Astros are playing one of the worst teams in baseball? And losing.

It’s baseball. It happens. 156 more games. They’ll be just fine.

Detroit had 3 runs in 3 games coming into this series. They've got 4 times that number of runs through only 2 games vs the Astros.

My biggest fear besides injuries heading into this season was our bullpen and how it would fare after an epic season last year. And my worst fears are coming true. Wasn't a fan of bringing the band back. Would have liked to see us move on from a couple of guys and get some comparable replacements who would be hungry to vie for a championship.

Hopefully things turn around but an ERA north of 4 is no bueno. Not gonna win a ton of games like that.

Crazy as it sounds letting our bullpen more or less stand pat this offseason might’ve been the riskiest move. There’s a <1% chance they were gonna repeat last years absurd performance, especially without a workhorse like JV to eat innings. Bullpens might be the single most fickle position groups in all of organized sports.

Granted finding the next great reliever isn’t exactly an exact science. My guess is we make a move for a top flight arm (probably starter) at the deadline.

Not worried about the bullpen when the offense is inept

Probably true, and understandable. Six consecutive LCS... FOUR pennants.... TWO rings... and injured moreso than most teams

We have players who've barely played a full season, but have already experienced playoff success both individually and team-wise

Health is the only thing stopping the current historical juggernaut that is the Astros

Houston will be MORE THAN okay until proven otherwise. Sit back and enjoy

Astros are a .500 team in the months of March and April during the Golden Era. This isn't anything we haven't seen before.

This kind of baseball is not to be enjoyed tonight.

Again. Taking it for granted. You are missing two of the best hitters in your lineup and have no reliable replacements.

The Astros were missing Brantley for most of last season. And he was out when they were playing their best ball(as already noted, they were 11-11 early on). So that's not a valid excuse for struggling this badly.

Altuve is a big loss, but the problem is most of the rest of the lineup isn't picking up the slack. And Dusty ain't helping matters by playing Meyers and Dubon as much as he has.

What other team is missing two of their best hitters?
