Are you this dense? This isn’t a civil lawsuit. He committed a crime for his own benefit. Bragg was clear in his press conference that because NY is the financial capital of the world, they have a vested interest in pursuing white collar crime.

    Wot? Oddly specific
Well you can bet the precedent for going after even the weakest cases has been set now. Is the underlying crime a federal election violation?

Still catching up with the indictment, but there's nothing groundbreaking here. The facts as taken, even though Trump disputes them (as he lies all the time), do not constitute a felony. Early predictions:
    1) Acquitted
    2) Convicted, but overturned by SCOTUS
    3) Georgia conviction - really hope this doesn't impact Georgia, but that was a real felony with all the evidence needed. Sigh, the Republican party sucks donkey balls, but this indictment is legal stretching and political theater.

Why are you pro presidential criminality?

What’s so wrong with setting a precedent of being able to indict presidents when they commit crimes big or small?? I thought you voted for the party of “law and order?”

If these are state charges what would be the basis for appealing them to the USSC?

State law that violates the US Constitution is unconstitutional.

Considering we invaded Afghanistan to get OBL I think that’s much more than $100 Milion.

Leaving aside they comparison we’ve never had a President behave in this way. Trump started his term settling a $25 million dollar lawsuit for a fraudulent university. He ended his term with his supporters, who he loved, storming the Capitol.

Is the same group that made a major deal over a blow job?

Honestly . . .. this probably needs to happen
    but
In the future the Republicans will use this precedence to hammer everyone forever
They will contort and weaponize it

I don’t doubt Ted Cruz will run on throwing Biden in jail. But just like the Hillary stuff it will go nowhere because there wasn’t a crime.

I do hope you elaborate on this. You always do a good job of explaining this kind of stuff.

Let me guess that you will change the meaning of the word “defraud” to mean what you need it to.

It’s amazing that so many MAGA republicans here hid the fact that they are all both passed the NY bar and are also constitutional scholars.

Really talented fanbase we have here in Texas.

The USSC will decide that (finding some random quote 800 years old to support their opinion) and then you will need to sit down and STFU.
