I wasn't much of a fan of Trump. I supported most of his Supreme Court nominations, doubling the standard deduction, and increased immigration/border enforcement. Although it was not beneficial for me, eliminating the SALT deduction seemed fair. I did like the focus on deregulation.

Yes.... Imagine that your wife dies. Your father-in-law loved to rape his teenage slaves. Your father-in-law dies but leaves you his "property". That property includes the half sister of your dead wife - who is the product of rape, and her mother (your dead wife's aunt) is also the product of rape. At this point you have a choice, what do you do? Well imagine that you decide to keep this child as a slave, and have her take care of your daughter (so they are first cousins). Everyone tells you that this child is immature and cannot take care of your daughter, because she cannot take care of even herself. What is your response? Jefferson's response was to take her to France with him and rape her when she was 15 years old. When he needed to return to America he wanted her to come with him, so he told her he would free her children as adults (he did free them and they all passed as white and lived as white people - some even tried to fight for the Confederacy). Jefferson would rape her enough to have 6-7 children with her. She lived in a room connected to Jefferson's room, I am sure so he could rape her as he felt fit to. She would not ever be freed by Thomas Jefferson - but after he died, his daughter did agree to free her half-sister from bondage. Jefferson knew better - he knew that black people were every bit the same as white people, but it was convenient and easy to have 150 people working for him for free, so he kept his sister-in-law and his own children in slavery growing up - This is the Father of the Declaration of Independence and the mentor and role model to the drafter of the Constitution. Yet these incredibly flawed men supposedly were so moral and principled that they can write documents that we are expected to not question 250 years later. It is all foolishness, and FWIW almost everyone in the legal field knows it is foolishness. They are the rules we rely on, but the idea that we need to harken back to the minds of rich white men 200 years ago.

Just a minor correction, it wasn't eliminated, it was capped at $10k. With rising property taxes in Texas, I would of loved for that not to be capped since I am trying to build wealth here (just bought my second home).
