I like McCormick after Tucker even if the starter was a RHP instead of Boyd. McCormick will get more chances against LH relievers if he's behind Tucker or at least cause the other team to bring in a RHP sooner.
Meyers may have played himself out of a spot. His first 2 games were bad and he needed a hot start more than anyone else. 0-6 with 4 Strikeouts including 2 w/ runner on 3rd (plus others) and less than 2 outs. A double play grounder after a leadoff walk. Dusty gave him a chance, now he is seriously going to have to hold off Julks to avoid being the player sent back to Sugar Land when Brantley returns As for Dubon. I fully expected him to start at 2b with Brown on the mound. Hensley is the hottest bat among the players left after starting 8 is set.
He knows these games matter and we can't afford to take L's vs teams like the Tigers. Small sample size but we need to get through the month of April near the top of our division. Dusty literally having to scrap his 'gut' stuff and just play the guys performing. EDIT: We are like another big injury away to a Yordan, Bregman or Tucker from being in big trouble.
But seriously, this is why I like adjusting the line-up based on recent performance. But Dusty doesn't. But I'll be perfectly content for Dusty to mismanage us to another WS win. It's not like I have any hair left to pull out.
They need to lose the blue pants. When the Texans go battle red jerseys with red pants, it's too much red.
Perfect timing. Power outage. Fell starting the generator and had to call for help for the second time this week. At least no trip to the ER this time. But the generator is working. Another gameday game.
