By that standard being an nba gm and hc is the best gig of all times . As long as you get a top 3-4 pick you have 5 years to sit back and chill before we should even care to evaluate you Are you high man
I'm just saying it would be good to keep Silas one more year to see what he can do with a better roster before we make the final decision on whether to extend him or get a new coach since the past 3 years have been about tanking to hopefully acquire future NBA superstars in the lottery. Unless Silas has lost the locker room, I think it's messed up to fire him now when the Rockets will acquire veteran players next year and the expectation will be to win. The Rockets don't even have to keep Silas as head coach all next year. If he has a slow start, they can fire him around December and see what an assistant coach like Abdelfattah can do.
OK. So you guys are basically saying we should give a not-so-impressive novice coach a chance instead of bringing in a coach who has already proven himself. Are you really this curious about what that idiot can and can't do?
I think the better thing to do is ask potential free agents, ‘do you want to play for Silas or someone else if you come here?’ Or ‘Does Stephen Silas make Houston a place you’re unwilling to play?’
Get Silas's dopey ass out of here. - Worst record in the league three years running - Dogged by his own players and assistants in public (they won't tell us, but we know what's happening) - Throws the players under the bus - No real player development Like, three years should be enough to show us something, right?
Yeah, that's a good point. For example, I'd be OK with getting Nick Nurse if that was a key factor for getting someone like Fred VanVleet.
It would be similar to how Bickerstaff looks with Cavs, if they switch positions it would be the same for both Now had Silas been able to coach the Harden/Westbrook duo he signed up for we would be able to get a better outlook on if he is fit for the job or not Not defending him at all, just calling a spade a spade Not comparing the two but Pops current situation vs. his Duncan/Kawhi era makes him the GOAT to now looking like avg coach Just look at how Walton looked when he took over shortly for Kerr then went to Kings and sucked Its hard to win with young talent and easy to win with seasoned all star players, as Brown is showing now leading the Kings since Fox/Sabonis are more seasoned and grew into all star caliber players
Exactly. Great, by that logic you give up your best years to a never ending rebuild. How many healthy 5 years does a male have? Telling you not many.
Worst record in NBA History over a three year period. Yeah, let’s give him another year or two to figure it out. HOW THE $&@“ IS HE STILL FREAKING COACHING THIS TEAM!!!!!!!!
Silas proud of the job I’ve done is one of the worst quotes ever. I would have followed it with, you’re the worst team 3 years in a row. Houston media is so soft.
This freak bum stole 3 years from the Rockets. Starting Lobthreat Bruno ahead of Sengun and saying that Sengun cannot play PnR and choosing Boban instead Not being able to add a single positive thing to Jalen Green in two years His adopted son headhonco KPJ got prevented this team from having a real PG for years Rockets fans should never stop hating this man By the way, this bum is not the only culprit. Stone is just as guilty. His time will come too
