I remember when the Astros got swept last season against the orioles and everyone here was throwing them under the bus and claiming they were done with them. It's too funny
Haha. Nobody on here was saying they were done with them. Thats a bit of an embellishment. Were sone people pissed? Sure. So what.
Bregmans slow starts to the season used to be like alright, whatever. It's Bregman. Cool. Now it's not cool anymore especially with Altuve and Alvarez and Brantley out the same game.
If we didn't suck without Yordan, then yes give him 2-3 weeks straight off after every game for all I care. Or if the team doctors weren't ****ing morons in the offseason, Yordan could have had surgery like he SHOULD HAVE and be back by now. Let us praise the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Disappointing as a fan when you spend your time and money to attend the game and get that performance. Easier when you’re just watching on tv and can flip it off. Yordan needs to rest game 4 on a popular Sunday afternoon game against the White Sox… that couldn’t have waited until the Monday night game against DET? Watching a totally anemic offense sucks.
I'm still fuming that the White Sox got an extra mound visit without having to remove the pitcher. The CWS pitcher got a breather when he was on the ropes. He was rattled and tired.
I Got the joke. I was adding to it by sayjng this is how you SSS bc I appreciated the absurdity. It was great.
With two little ones at home this was the first game I've been able to attend since 2021...and while fun the actual game sucked pretty bad. Probably best to avoid attending Sunday home games if you have a choice.
Similarly because I live in Europe I can really ONLY watch the day games, which tend to be "get away" games. Very frustrating to see the b-team so often. A bit like taking your kids to a matinee because they love musicals but also have to sleep at night ... only to find it is always the understudy on stage.
Split a series against a competitive team, opening series, giving lots of ABs to guys that we are trying to figure out what they got (Yanier, Julks, Hensley, and even Meyers to an extent), rested our top dawg so his hands don't get hurty. All in all I am ok with things.
It definitely would have been nice to win the opening home series after coming off a World Series victory, but a split is fine I suppose. The bigger thing that still bugs me is Dusty not giving a start to Chas in either one of the first 2 ceremonial games of the season. Without his performance in the World Series, we might not be having those ceremonies at all, and Dusty would still be ringless. Giving Julks the start while Chas sat on the bench on Ring Night just felt dirty and wrong.
