I think Shaq and Kareem are probably the two best guys to look at here to show that having a long career as a giant can be done. Yes, both are shorter than Wemby, but not by a whole lot. I'm not convinced a couple of inches is a bone-shattering difference here, that's like what, just a few percent taller? And in Shaq's case he's also of course an absolutely massive human being, which can't have been easy on his joints and back, and yet he held up just fine for a very long time. Again, I think the Rockets just got unlucky with Sampson, and with Yao I think it was less bad luck and more him playing way too many games each year and putting too much repetitive strain on his feet. With proper game management as you say--no reason to play Wemby on second games of B2Bs in the regular season, for instance--I think there's a very solid chance that he'll be fine in terms of injuries. Gotta take that risk. All of that said, I still do love Scoot as a prospect. He can do some special things and all the scouts and analysts I've heard from still love what he's shown despite him having a less-than-stellar season. I think you take either one of those guys you can get. But if you're happy drafting freaking Brandon Miller at #2 and ending up with a guy whose ceiling is "very good roleplayer" at that high of a pick, be my guest.
Ask any NBA scout and I can basically guarantee you will be told that he is and that KJP is not even remotely an obstacle for the Rockets if they land the #2 pick.

A month ago he was on trade Jalen bandwagon because KPJ and Jalen were basically the same and we only needed 1 of them. I don't understand why ppl give a s*** about this dude's opinions. Yeah he doesn't shoot well from behind the arc but i think Scoot is couple days away from not being able to feed the hot hand or unable playmake consistently.
There may be an opportunity to trade for Henderson if Charlotte or Detroit get the #2 pick. Dream scenario would be if we land #1 and package Sengun and the Nets picks for #2. Scoot Green Eason Jabari Wemby That is a hell of a rebuild.
