This 1000 times this, there is a huge difference in people that understand what is going on in the NBA vs those that pine for a traditional old school way. Very very few true PGs in the league....KPJ's stats at 22 are comparable to most of the guys that are considered the best now....guys like SGA etc... People just don't like KPJ personally and are too small to get over it. I can't see his posts, we are not on friendly terms - and he is one of the people I am speaking of above, one of those people who just can't grow - just read his hatred in the D&D....immigrants, muslims, supporter of DeSantis - yuck. DD
SGA in his 4th year at age 23(KPJ is about the turn 23 and is in his 4th year) averaged 25 ppg on 6 apg on better efficiency. That's what we hope Green is around in a couple of years. KPJ is not that.
KPJ already moving his efficiency up, and while he is in his 4th season, he is still only 22 - and developing as a player, most players won't peak until 27-28 - so if they are already this good at 22 or 21, or 20.....they extrapolate out to being very good in 3 years. The truth is the Rockets are going to be competing for anything for at least 3 years - so unless you can shake loose a player like Jaylen Brown, or someone like that, you probably just stay the course, draft well and let the kids develop under a better coach. Green does not have the ball handling or herky jerky moves that SGA relies on - Green is more of a true scorer - a guy that can get his own, man he just needs a coach to get him an offense that keeps him on-balance and he will blow up in scoring. DD
You know what? You might be right, saw it on Twitter, and was like oh....he is up to 56.1% TS though and moving in the right direction. DD
Why did teams give up on Billups? Chauncey threw fits when he wasn't the center of attention in Minny. I can see similar career paths. KPJ tends to get in his own way. The manner in which he was praising his teammates on that podcast, that's leadership and not head honcho stuff. The head honcho stuff has got to go and more of that leadership has to carry on to the court. But breh, it's really no big deal every nba player is pouty! But it is a big deal, at that position, being the elderly 'twin' to all the young ones. Silas won't be here forever. Game wise? He's one of the best catch and shoot 3 point shooters in the league....but refuses to accept his gift. For example, he will get a clean pass for the shot, will dribble forward then settle for a stepback three. That's 2 more points he could add to his Ppg avg. 22 points on 15 fgs would be really good efficiency on par with Garland. A lot of this is on the organization for wanting to continue with the heliocentric teen wolf offense. They can't even run that ish in Dallas with Luka. Defensively, like everyone on this roster, they just have to learn to care every possession.
He is 22, will be 23 next year - and yes, it is his 4th year in the league which is why he is showing massive improvement. DD
Yes, and the year is almost over, he is not 23 yet, sorry. He will be 23 all next year.....that is how birthday's and age work. Green was 20 for more than half of this season and is 21 now......see.....it even applies to your favorite. DD
You said he'd be 23 next year. He'll be 23 this year. Precisely in 32 days He will be 23 next year and 24 and actually be 24 for most of next year.
Why can't you just say he's in his 4th year who is about to turn 23? Why are you purposefully trying to team it as if he's got a year away before he turns 23?
KPJ stans are some of the most disingenuous posters on here. They will say whatever BS puts him in a better light.
