Small sample size? The season has been going for over 350,000 seconds. That’s a third of a million, which seems like a big number to me.

Meanwhile Bregman hasn’t had a regular season hit in over 6 months. It’s time to get off your ass, Dana Brown - cut him ASAP or you’re next.

Mostly National Sports articles like ESPN or Sports Illustrated. (not necessarily them, but like them). It caught me off guard because I though we had a new player.

However, speaking of small sample sized, I have loved watching Hensley return at the same level as his small sample size from last year. He will eventually slump, but the longer it lasts, the more I like it.

With as hectic and fun as the playoffs are, it would be really nice if the Astros could have a great first month to 6 weeks so we don't have to fret over the whole regular season. We still will fret over the regular season...but it is better to fret over things in principle than because the race is closer than it should be.

When Jake came up dusty was reluctant to play him.
I feel like his first at bat was pinch hitting in the 9th against a closer or something

No Yordan and Dubon is back! Plus a .000 hitter batting in the 2 spot.

He came up when they traded Straw, he got 3 pinch hit PA in his first 8 games, 2 against closers. He finally got to play a game only because Brantley got hurt. He didn't get his first actual start until his 12th day in the majors. Dusty mostly started Chaz during that stretch, but he even started Tucker in CF just to avoid playing Meyers because he was being petty, so he wasn't always team Meyers.

I really don't know what goes through Dustys head. Chaz not starting opening day coming off a solid postseason with a GB pitcher was downright disrespectful.

I really wish they would give Hensley more games at 1B.

A guy who can play middle infield with his long target frame, you have to imagine he would be pretty damn good over there.

"I really don't know what goes through Dustys head"

This is my conclusion as well. But I'm coming to terms with it because I'll never understand it.

I like the logic, but every game Abreu plays will be at 1B and he's played each game so far. I suspect Abreu isn't really a strong candidate for DH as a half day off since 1B isn't that taxing normally.

I understand them giving Jake a shot since he showed the capability at one point and he's a more natural centerfielder. That being said, Jake hasn't shown anything in ST or the first 2 games so Chas needs to be the full time centerfielder until he shows he can't do it or someone proves to be much better. I would give Meyers spot to Dirden.

Wasn’t Clevinger the guy that had some domestic violence accusations this past offseason? Or am I mixing him up with someone else?

Sounds like time to give him the Joe Kelly treatment.

You and @Wulaw Horn might need to check your sarcasm meter.

On a different note, Clevinger is one of the biggest POS in the league, trailing only the guy who took the L last night. Shame we are rolling out the B lineup, but let’s go get him anyway.

My kids and I get very few games I can watch in Europe, so back to back Ws against those two would be a nice way to spend a weekend.

Sarcasm used to be far easier to detect. And it was funny.
