Too many of today's Republicans simply see Trump as above the law. And while he may not be one of them, Bradley Smith doesn't believe in campaign finance restrictions, has advocated for deregulation, and has argued against any indictment of Trump on campaign finance crimes.

The grand jury disagreed with him and voted to proceed. Of all the people who might be unfairly prosecuted, Trump is not one of them. He has all the political power and money to ensure he has more than a fair day in court. If it's such a pervasion of the law (exactly which laws broken is still unknown, but that doesn't matter lol), Trump will easily be found not guilty.

It’s a sad commentary of where the Republican Party and our society is that the man who has lied and defrauded his own supporters is now being portrayed as the victim.

Trump and Fox News: "if they can do it to Trump they can do it to you "
Yeah that's right, that's the way the rule of law works in this country . If Bob commits the same crime as John he gets the same legal treatment.

Yes I worry now about the next time I have an affair with a p*rn star and falsify my business records to pay her off while lying during my campaign for president.

I was planning on paying off p*rn stars with campaign funds, but now I’m not so sure.

there was also a time when inciting an insurrection against our government would get you a one-way ticket to the gallows.

Times are different. Back then, people were hardened by poverty and war. Men were men and didn’t indulge in the vices they do today; they were lean, proud men who wouldn’t break the gallows like Trumps fat ass would.

SNL should bring back Alec Baldwin, but he might be a little rusty.

Trump is a menace to society and has committed acts of violence against it. He has shown zero remorse and continues to push for violence, remaining a menace. He is the type of person who deserves the full weight of the law, instead of the opposite. No one, not even his supporters, feels he's squeaky clean and is a victim of prosecution. Their arguments always go back to technicalities: it's not technically a crime, or it's a crime but as POTUS or a major political figure with strong support, he shouldn't be prosecuted, or it's not a strong enough crime to prosecute him for. At the end of the day, all of that simply means the law shouldn't apply to him.

That made me chuckle. Just picturing Trump breaking the gallows and a Big Mac flying out of his mouth as he falls and tumbles around.

All those public servant officers have some form of mobocracy(democracy) representation

Drumpf is just the latest media fall guy, this is basically a distraction from the Pope recently repudiating/denouncing those Papal Bull decrees which pillaged the aboriginal-indigenous people's American ancestral land estate since 1492, which is way more important and breaking news than another said rogue politic being indicted

Now maybe Bush/Obama/Biden and the other past corporate U.S. CEO presidents can join him since they are all links in the same chain

Leaking info from the grand jury is a felony. Joey B’s biggest ass kisser does not know US law.

It's funny that you right wingers call me a biden ass kisser when I've literally stated how numerous trumps policies were better than Obama. I literally regularly bash Obama as one of the worst modern presidents we've had. The only thing I care about in a politican is their anti trust views. This concept seems far too complex for you right wingers.

You folks worship personality traits while I only care policy. The day biden becomes a corporate hack like Obama I'll be the first to bash him.
