I'm getting really imcensed at the insistence that Yordan is the DH and ONLY the DH. He is becoming a very good LFer.
Not sure if Yordan has ever only been DH but we should set aside 30-35 games for Abreu to DH. He's getting older and he regressed badly 2nd half of last season
I don't want him to get splinter infections. I think his hands are allergic to the bench. But seriously, have you ever seen him dive for a ball? I actually tried to find an example of Yordan diving and all I came up with is fans diving for his HR balls. I couldn't even find a case of him diving into a base on the basepaths.
I don't understand why this is a thing. Do the Dodger's fans clamor for Freddie Freeman to DH so he doesn't get hurt? Do Yankee fans ask Boone to DH Judge everyday so he doesn't get hurt? Did the Pirates and Giants fans complain and worry every game Barry Bonds was in LF? What about Mariners' or Reds fans and Griffey Jr? You can't play the game or live life to not get hurt, or not lose. It's a guarantee that's what happens.

Just persisting in failing to recognize Alvarez is the everyday LFer. He will DH just as others will on occasion. But he's the LEFT FIELDER on a typical day.
Yordan will either DH or DNP tomorrow Dusty mentioned in postgame interview the team worried about his legs since he didn't play much in ST
FYI he is the 5th fastest player in MLB history to 100 HR Pretty impressive. Ryan Howard 325g Pete Alonso 347g Gary Sanchez 355g Aaron Judge 371g Yordan 372g FYI Howard is fastest to 200, doing it in 658g. Judge is 2nd, doing it in 671, meaning it only took 300 g to hit #s 101-200.
You named a bunch of players who don't get hurt often except Judge, and I'm sure there are plenty of Yankee fans who were clamoring for Judge to DH when he was getting injured. Also, Judge's value as a fielder is much higher. Barry Bonds was a gold glover, Griffey? I mean these are trash comparisons. The Red Sox didn't force Ortiz to be a first baseman, that's a more realistic comparison.
