That's not even a joke thread but also not so serious. Dude is putting up big numbers in meaningless games...... Head honcho.
Eh.... Great shooting night for KPJ. But these type of statements worry me because rest assured, KPJ isn't a future long term starting pg that is going to be part of a championship core. That simply isn't going to happen. And this statement worries me on how he's going to handle a demotion to a 6th man type role in the future.
You guys see that Jackson Gatlin asked about the KPJ and Green PnR and this is what Silas said? I mean we could have been doing that all year long....Silas is so incompetent. Also, we don't need a PG, we have 2 good ball handling combo guards, just like Boston - and Golden State, KPJ and Green can coexist well if we get a coach that can help them. DD
Yes sir, run it back for sure - and as others mature around him and people start to see what he truly brings - they will come around. Folks need a scapegoat when we are terrible last year it was CWood, this year KPJ - the real problem is coaching and youth....nothing else. KPJ is a very find developing NBA player who can play PG/SG or SF - he is on track to being an all star at some point, you don't just let them go because they threw a tantrum at 19, you teach, you nurture and you reap the rewards. And you ignore the nincompoops who are impatient about developing players. Don't be a Nincompoop. DD
The only way I consider running back KPJ is if he understands he is going to be a 6th man type guy for the team. If we get Harden no way he is starting. If we get Scoot, he ain't starting. In those two situations I see the Rockets trading KPJ in a package for a solid vet piece.
Pick'n roll? Making reads?? They just dribbled around, running out the clock, then passed the ball to each other if they hadn't heaved a shot before. Desperation shots & drives off desperation passes. KPJ mainly; JG not so much but still...
I love his shooting. Since he won’t cut without the ball and wont make the effort on D, I want to see him coming off the bench and focusing on a 6th man shooting role. He’s our best shooter; he’s improved so much there over 3 yrs and deserves credit. Just because he’s also our best ball handler doesn’t mean he’s a point guard. It should be obvious by now that he’s not a point guard. I think we either adjust his role or move on from him, but running it back seems like the worst option.
He's the best shooter in the team... great shooting nights are the norm, this isn't some low efficiency guy that has a fluke hot shooting night like Jalen Green we're talking about.
Jalen only fans and Sengun only fans can’t give credit when it’s due. Crazy to me that guys only root for their favorite players and hate others. I love most players on this team, minus Sengun, Nix, and JC
Oh **** it. So some Jalen fans like Sengun and some Sengun fans like Jalen. KPJ fans don't like anybody else but they try to hide it. JOFs and SOFs are ganging up on KOFs now? This is civil war. Or, as there being only 7 KOFs last time I checked, it's a gang bang.
His shooting might be our only hope for someone to take him off our hands. TyTy playing instead of KPJ would already make us a better team.
He's very good but not great at anything .. He has the skills to be a 25 ppg scorer on a losing team like ours .. With that said, he serves better as a high volume 6th man that can take over when the offense is stagnant. Unfortunately, the more talent that comes in via Wembs or FA , the more he'll get criticized because his game isn't complimentary to an alpha .. He thinks he's the alpha because his offensive game is very good ... It won't work unless a coach takes the gloves off and handles it.. That ain't Silas
I keep saying this! It's like Silas has a Sports Car and finally decided to drive it pass 50 mph. He doesn't know what he has. But I've been preaching, the Rockets need a shooter at the SF position and off the bench and a true center.
So you think TyTy would make us better than KPJ would? I knew when they took the State Mental Hospitals away it would effect a lot of people. I'm praying for you.
Yes. TyTy protects the ball better, is a lot more unselfish than KPJ and has much better point guard instincts. KPJ's individual counting stats might "look better" at this point, but under a proper coach, if we want to win and play another style than "my turn, your turn" between two guards, pounding the ball, taking contested shots, not playing defense, barking at teammates - then we need to get rid of KPJ. Even the worst teams will have someone like KPJ averaging the counting stats he produces, if that player gets to control the ball every game longer than Lebron James or Steph Curry do on their teams. That's really not that great of an achievement. https://www.nba.com/stats/players/touches?dir=D&sort=TIME_OF_POSS It's quite simple, we are a TERRIBLE team with KPJ hogging the ball that much (12th in the entire NBA in terms of time of possession per game). It doesn't matter if he sometimes has stretches where he makes a three. Him having the ball that much drags us down. We need a proper coach who builds around Sengun and Green and Bari and Tari, and whomever we get as the top FA and top pick. KPJ will not accept change. He will always want to be "the man", or he will pout and sabotage the team. And he talks about his "twin" like his junior, when in reality, his "twin" has a much higher ceiling than he does - but only once KPJ is out of the way. TyTy is a better team player NOW (there are reasons why TyTy was drafted higher than KPJ), and we will be a better team without KPJ.
