You didn't know, the house of cards is falling, NBA stock has plummeted, which is inclusive with those branch affiliates like BSPN Its what happens when corrupt greed becomes absolute end game
Fans and front office didn't tell Silas to play scrubs like Nix tons of mins. They also didn't tell Silas not to develop our young talents.
You still on here staying stupid stuff like front office doesn’t tell Silas who to play … Nix is Stone’s gem and Stone clearly dictated he gets time after how well he played in G League last year. Our young talents have developed - funny you haven’t noticed that prob because you too busy crying in your land of illusion. Green is now a 3 level scorer who passing has improved greatly Bari couldn’t dribbled the ball 2x without it being a turnover and now he bringing ball up court and driving to the basket and finishing strongly Tari couldn’t make a layup to save his life and now his finishing has greatly improved Garuba has now developed a 3pt shot If your thought process of the development of teenagers is wins then it’s flawed and wrong
Yeah, this dude thinks your clueless Silas fanboy gig is getting old. There are four or five guys on this board including you that just don’t get the concept that he has the WORST RECORD IN NBA HISTORY!!!
We are trying to lose. Silas shouldn't get flack for tanking, it's the way he goes about it that's bothering most of the folks on here. U can lose while playing your youngsters, u dont have to give heavy mins to nwaba, nix, gordon, wood, and every vet u see. U can incorporate sengun more into your offense instead of using a guard who doesn't know how to play pg. Tyty, eason, garuba, christopher should get consistent mins to see what they got int he tank. There are many things silas has done wrong, losing aint that big of a deal especially if that was the plan all along.
I would call it selective tanking. The GM wanted to tank so the coach cut a deal to win a few games here and there. Silas is just an infuriating person, I came to realize. When they played Lakers, Celtics, Bucks, Suns, they were definitely not trying to lose. They also stuck it to Harden and Philly. They won those games.
I don't really give a **** about Silas, one way or another. He had an impossible job, one that fundamentally conflicts with the goals of the organization. He can't even properly be evaluated, based on the situation, which is exactly why I rarely ever give Silas any thought at all. He will get his three years, move on in the offseason, and that's end of it. The whole coaching situation has been a great big "shrug, who cares" to me. That is called correctly managing your expectations. And you are correct, I am like one of 5-10 people who actually knew what the rebuild would look like, and the things that are ACTUALLY important. The rest of you, unsurprisingly, act like a bunch of self entitled divas, like you are owed something, and being in the basement for a few years is some great atrocity inflicted on you. You, yourself, have treated us to numerous temper tantrums (in the form of new threads), saying the same thing over and over again, as if you believe you can just whine and cry things into existence. You and your feelings, simply aren't interesting or particularly relevant. I wouldn't even mind the entitlement, to be honest, if it wasn't accompanied by the incredibly stupid basketball takes we constantly see. My absolute favorite was the thread you started on lottery, illustrating you actually had ZERO idea how it even worked. It's comical that people like you think their opinions should be considered, when you don't even bother learn basic concepts. Honorably mentions to: "We have been the worst team in the league for three years, lets trade for John Collins!!" (lulz)
But the team is TANKING. How can you successfully develop young talent while trying not to win? In order to successfully not win Nix, Nwaba & Gary Bird would NEED to play. Your argument is baseless because the organization wants Victor, in which ALL of you idiots would celebrate if it happens. So again Silas is in a bad position as a coach
I really Doubt Stephen Silas will ever be a Head Coach ever again, Assistant Coach Yes, maybe the Pacers because of Rick Carlisle. ESPN and other East Coast, West Coast Media will Blame the Rockets
Agree. No idea why he starts Gordon at SF forever and plays Schroeder at guard for 30 minutes a game if tanking. Why not give a ton of minutes to TyTy instead of suckwad Nix for development? He is too nice of a guy and lacks the necessary discipline to be a head coach in the NBA.
Lol that's not even close to what happened. He performed well given his roster of young players and scrubs. The only reason he got fired is because KD came in and wanted DeAndre Jordan to start, and he was like no lol, Jarrett Allen is better. So KD/Kyrie got him fired. His win total improved from 20 to 28 to 42. His best player was Jarrett Allen who was a 2nd year player lol. LeVert was also in his 2nd year when they improved from 20 to 28. I'll grant you there were more "vets" on those teams but they were all bums lol. I'm not asking for like 30-40 wins which I know is unattainable with this young a squad. Just some team-wise improvement over three years would be nice. What's different about how this team is coached now from two years ago? Do you think he should be given more time?
nah. they were far from bums. you're trying to tell yourself something that isn't real in reality the HC position for the rockets is literally setup for failure. doesn't matter who sits in that seat. this is what happens when you go through a full rebuild no matter how much homers want to overrate or over analyze what is happening
