Looks good except for Dirden who isn't on the 40 man. Madris lets them keep everybody without exposing them. I'm not sure if Madris could be dropped without exposing him to the waiver wire. But this is pretty nitpicky. If there were no roster consideration, Dirden certainly wins the Spring Training battle. Also, how many PA would be available? They might prefer sending him down just to get PAs.

Doubt the team fields a roster with only one backup infielder. I guess Rylan Bannon is making it to cover for Altuve...the infield options are garbage. Diaz and Dirden are competing for Brantley's spot. Diaz is on the 40 so he gets the edge. Looking forward to Thursday! I’m going to sleep watching Game 1 of the 1986 NLCS on YouTube like normal people always do.

Yes. Confident. But I am somewhat concerned our opening day streaks are going to be broken just because they are streaks.

Madris gets the call over Dirden because of his roster spot. Also, I'd love to see Tucker at lead off, but I don't expect it.
Doubt Dirden makes the team. They will keep Bannan or sign a vet infielder for the bench until Altuve gets back.
I like this but I feel it is one infielder too short unfortunately. Instead of 5 outfielders it'll be Bannon or Perez instead of Dirden since they are already on the 40 man. Dirden will be next man up if Meyers struggles, but both Meyers and Dirden will likely be down if Brantley can come back healthy.
Seems possible. It just pushes Dubon into IF-only backup coverage. Dirden can cover 3 OF spots, though he shouldn't cover CF full-time.

Diaz definitely makes the team and in my opinion, should be the starting DH. Absolutely ELITE hitting talent.
Think he’s good for sure, but would love for him to draw a walk every once in a while. Think that’s what’s going to separate him from being solid to all star level.
Ok I was wondering what infielder might take Dirden's spot. That was my only question when I came up with my roster.
