I smell some one-two year deals!

Evans feels way too obvious to either head to the Cowboys or come to Houston. THAT would be one of those we are heavy favs to win division now and maybe compete with the big boys.

It was very productive. His QBs were Drew Lock & Jeff Driskell.

Andre Johnson posted 66/976/4 his rookie season. It’s not uncommon for WRs to struggle. Jeudy’s rookie season was very good.

He played one half of the first game (6/72 in that half, BTW) & then sprained his ankle, missed six games and was hampered by it all year after that.

Mahomes didn’t need a great RB. But he did need Hill & Kelce. Allen has never had a good RB; but he took off as soon as Diggs arrived. Mixon is good but I think most would view Higgins and especially Chase as the game changers in Cincinnati. The Eagles & Dolphins both heavily invested in WRs for their young QBs (& saw both of their developments accelerate). The Bears are now following that game plan, as did the Cardinals when they traded for DHop & not a RB. Heck, Tom Brady didn’t chose the Bucs because of their RBs.

A good RB is a luxury. A good WR is a necessity.

Mahomes doesnt any need anyone, he can make any WR to look good, just like Brady. Your examples, Mahomes couldnt win the superbowl, and couldnt beat the Bengals, then even when Hill left, they drafted Pacheco and helped them to win the Superbowl.
The same thing, when Leonard Fournette, played amazing especially in the playoffs Bucs won the Superbowl, the next year Leonard didnt play good, even when they had the same WRs they didnt reach the Superbowl, also the same last year, with more weapons as a WR, and still couldnt make it
Eagles had Miles Sanders in the top 5 of rushing, so that helped with the RPOs with Hurts. Allen never had a good RB, and they keep losing against the Chiefs, and still looking for that RB that helps them win.

in the 49ers, trading for CMC, was the game changer last year, that helped them win, even having the 3rd QB (Purdy) look like a franchise QB.

between Jeudy and Sutton I think I rather have Sutton. I think both are good just not great. Sutton seems like the better value. Honestly if I'm the Texans I'd be talking to the Bengals about Higgins.

All this is happening because of the decisions that led to 2019 yet some refuse to acknowledge that the organization deserved all the torching from all sides for those same decisions, from outsiders and former Texans. Glad we're moving forward but we can't forget the past.

That said my lineup is the most fair 'council'
Our own Tony Montana as head propagandist
    DebbietheTexan as administrative traveling assistant
A couple of 610 radio dudes
JR and Zeeshan as the breaking news guys.
Larry in Strafford as a get hype guy.

A QB wont solve what's wrong with the Texxans org.

    New ownership is the key.

Nobody is giving him the contract he wants. No one is going to trade for him unless he accepts that he is not going to get that contract.

Agreed. I think he is going to play on the franchise tag.

I guess my thing is when would it be safe to move forward from the past? I don’t see any benefits talking what happened previously. Seems the Texans have made solid progress now, think fans just want to see what the future holds really.
