I have a bit of trouble believing you can get over Cancer in one year. Getting a clean test isn't too hard to believe, but recovering to pre treatment strength is. Everyone I've known took much longer, even if they eventually recovered their strength.

But I'm definitely not up to date on treatments or the specific type of cancer he beat.

You have to marvel at people who just pick numbers out of thin air in an attempt to make their case. If they don’t like the guy fair enough but there is no need for them to make stuff up.

I haven’t really kept up with his progress but Lance Zierlein says he is 100%.

The Texans were not in position to draft Kyler Murray in '19 so I admittedly paid less attention to his draft scuttlebutt. But from everything I've read, the general consensus seems to be that Murray was/is a legit 200+ (thicker, sturdier) and Young put on weight for his weigh-in but will inevitably play >200.

Regardless, even if we throw them into the same classification... it is still unprecedented territory because they'd be the *only* two in that classification.

I love everything I hear about Young. But >6'/>200 is a legitimate concern.

Safer options include Anderson, yes - or another highly-ranked, more definitive prospect. And yes, a more prototypically-sized QB. You can't teach height or weight. If size is ultimately a limitation.... there's nothing you can really do.

I definitely agree you can’t teach height or weight. I also think you can’t teach processing and diagnosing. After the pro day many ppl said Young’s height was not going to be an issue as he “throws tall”. But the weight is a concern to getting hurt.

I’ll risk injury with a guy I know has what it takes between the ears rather than a guy who may not get hurt but doesnt have the mind to take advantage of his physical gifts. A Brock osweiler/ryan mallet/Mitch trubisky isn’t any better than a hurt qb. Unless you are tanking.

If size is ultimately a limitation don’t you think the coach and GM will pass? I feel they will draft the person they feel will help this team whether that be offense or defense.

You can teach processing and diagnosing. Look at the progress Mahomes/Hurts and Allen etc... have made in these areas.

I feel they will draft the guy that will put the most butts in the seats.

So you don’t think Demeco is interested in having a long coaching career. I disagree

I think the 1-2 decision is an ownership decision.

Butts in seats are what's most important to the McNair's.

Then they didn’t need a coach to turn things around if they are going to hand cuff him to start. To think Demeco will not have input into the decision is ridiculous in my opinion.

Winning should rectify the butts in seats issue, right?

They will win 10 or so games in a couple of years and you're right that will help put butts in the seats. Mission accomplished

Reversely, if they are going according to your theory and lose seven in a row there will cease to be a lot of butts in the seats. Your idea is stupid logic by any GM
