I want the Texans to get a pass rusher at 12, but they for sure need a receiver with that pick of top of the 2nd. If there’s no value at pass rusher I’d look to trade down to around 20 and hope JSN slides or take whoever slides (Johnson, Addison, Flowers) with pick 33

JSN doesn't have good speed. I see him as a possession receiver like a Hunter Renfroe. A nice piece, but not an alpha #1 WR.
He was faster than Cooper Kupp and DeAndre Hopkins, based off a 40, and the same speed as Deebo Samuel. A shade slower than Julio Jones and Justin Jefferson.
Did you see Kylers weight at the combine? 207 lbs. Simple math 207 - 204 does not equal 15. Listed playing weight at Oklahoma? 195lbs. Simple math 195 - 194 does not equal 15. Isn’t it absolutely insane, someone so short is ranked at the top end of the first round?
If a QB doesn't have the ability to be a top 5 QB they shouldn't draft them in the top 5. That doesn't mean they shouldn't draft a guy like Hooker at 2-33. Elite talent should always be drafted in the top 5. That doesn't mean that a QB shouldn't be drafted. In fact I would draft one every 2 to 3 years until I found my guy. In this years draft I would draft either Hooker at 2-33 or Bennett in the 4-5th rd range, or maybe both. Then draft another QB high in the 2024 draft. I'm sorry if I come off as talking down to posters, but this would be my plan.
Yep, it's going to happen and the Texans org will get what they deserve for making this choice. No championships and a few more wins that will put the butts back in the seats. Which is the McNair's ultimate goal anyways.
So do you think Maye and Williams can both be top 5 quarterbacks? I think you've said there are 4 next year you like better than any this year. Just interested to hear, so we can pull this up in a year.
I believe they have the ability to develop into top 5 QB's. I dont see this with any QB in this class. McCarthy and Nix have the ability to be starting QB's in the Daniel Jones/Goff/Dak mode.

I’d been told previously that Young, in not getting many passes batted down at the line, has a sense of playing bigger than he is. It’s just one of the factors that has to be weighing on Carolina as the Panthers consider what to do at number one—take Young, or take the quarterback five inches taller in Stroud. As of Sunday night, no team here had been in contact with the Panthers about trading the top pick, and it’d likely be a useless venture, at least now. Carolina has no interest in moving the pick. —I won’t be surprised, unless Seattle takes him at five, if Jalen Carter drops out of the top 10. I view Seattle as a team that isn’t as scared off by players with character concerns as some other teams are. I asked the coach of a team outside the top 10 who is very interested in Carter and has researched him. Texans already have a possession receiver in Metchie, if he is healthy. I would think he and JSN run about the same speed.
