That's why I'm rooting for them! Also, they weren't cocky, and didn't play dirty. They just played great.
Miami winning is a nice caveat because it means they beat everyone (namely Houston) they played The problem though is the Horns still exist. I'm cheering for Texas... by far, easily, no question
Was a little surprised that Gonzaga looked so damned tired in their game yesterday. Just 8 or 10 minutes into the game, and all their players had their hands on their knees at every break. At halftime, I thought "these guys have no chance" and decided to do something else. Good call (for once). Most teams have 8-player rotations come tournament time, and Gonzaga's no different on that front. (They even played their bench more than UConn yesterday.) I just don't get it. Maybe a team from rural Washington got lured into the Las Vegas nightlife, or maybe they have a few players who are coming down with a flu or something.
I think it was a case of UConn being so much better. They have peaked at the right time and will be a tough out. I think they will win it all.
Good to know I'm not crazy...I swear I saw him doing sound checks in an Allman Brothers concert video from the '90s. The headband gave him away.
How is there a college team who are fighting for a Final Four spot - not aware you do not throw the ball towards your own basket - especially like that. Wowza. If San Diego lose this game... Edit: Double wowza - Nembhard fouling on the game winning shot attempt Double edit: ....... so the official doesn't even blow the whistle on the inbounder who steps on the line to throw the hail mary pass. Say that pass found its target and they scored to win the game - does that even get looked at?
All these reviews and timeouts make these endings so anticlimactic. Not exactly the “Madness” it used to be
I'll take that. 37K students and 300K alumni for San Diego State. I assume some will travel to see them in their first Final Four.
Bishop is the guy who has to show up big today with Disu out. When you shove a guy in the back as he's shooting it should be a foul every time, no matter what's on the clock.
