Yeah, like do these people even watch the rockets?! They prioritize KPJ, so it’s obvious how they feel

I mean, they really don't prioritize him as much as some suggest. It's pretty clear they REALLY prioritize Green. No matter how poorly he plays on both sides of the ball he'll always lead the team in usage and shot attempts.

You can argue if that's the right thing or not, but KPJ has taken something of a back seat to Green this season...and it has led to KPJ's efficiency improving quite a bit. They aren't forcing him to do everything all the time anymore...now it has arguably hurt the team, but that doesn't matter, they are tanking. They want Green to develop into someone capable of handling the ball at least on a part time basis, so they are pushing that hard.

Of course, that doesn't mean they are even considering moving on from KPJ....he's been the most consistently good player on the roster this season and they like the dual combo guard concept if Green can get decent enough.

It defies belief there are supporters of the Rockets who actually like Kevin Porter Jr.

No, I absolutely hate someone who puts his teammates under pressure because he refuses to even jog back after he makes a mistake.
x 8329483927438927 so far this season.

No, I absolutely hate someone who sulks and pouts like a 2 year old because he didn't get the ball when he asked for it.
x 329084 so far this season.

No, I absolutely hate someone who literally stands there and watches his defender go by him, then yell and scream and gesticulate in a negative way towards a teammate because they didn't then fix his mistake (mistake/lack of heart and not even trying).
x 3209458320948 so far this season.

No, I absolutely hate someone who is so immature that they abandon their teammates and peace out because someone told him some harsh truths. We should probably give him major props for only getting into a shouting match with an assistant coach this season when the same thing happened, instead of going home. PrOgReSs

He has absolutely zero redeeming qualities and I cannot wait until he is off this team.

And each season he's on the team will continue the decline in time I put into watching the Rockets. They are simply unwatchable with this clown suiting up.

I'd love nothing more than for him to meet an assistant coach who'd rather get physical than use his words. Lord knows he deserves an almighty ass whooping. I don't even want to begin to fathom the trash he gets away with behind the scenes with his entitled ass.

Yeah, that’s true. Green is definitely their top priority. It’s just these Sengun fans believe he’s not an important piece to this team. They don’t want to believe it, but the rockets care more about KPJ than Sengun. It’s obvious who they would trade if they had a choice. Once he came back from injury, they put the ball right back in his hands

No sh*t :D I think he may be the only player in the league with that big of a contract that’s basically just year to year. Good for Rockets. Hopefully he earns the contract but at least they keep an option for an easy out if needed

You're just going to post a link to unfiltered RAPTOR stats and call us a cesspit?

Since you brought it up, I'd like you to expound on the sunken costs of Green and Smith. What exactly are you trying to say?

You want to participate and Make Clutchfans Great Again then let's have it.

Green will hugely benefit from a point guard who has gravity and can pass the ball in constructive ways rather than give him the ball to take his turn.

The Rockets didn't have to give him any contract, but did so because they believe in him, and they took advantage of his history to put in hedges, smart, but it doesn't signal anything other than they think he is part of the core.

Wrong. It signals that they do NOT believe in him. If they did, that contract would be mostly guaranteed. This was purely a "Get your **** together or we will drop you like a bad habit" contract.

Here is the thing, if KPJ was as actually talented / good as his stans claim, there would be no shortage of teams standing by the door to throw guaranteed money at him. The morality compass of sports franchises is near nil. It is simply and has always been "Are you worth the money?" and in KPJ's case, a tanking team decided "Only with some extreme strings attached", That's not a complement.

I’d rephrase that as “they hope he is part of the core, but they have an easy out if that ends up not being the case”.

You don't give away 16m guaranteed on a hope......they didn't have to give him anything ...yet they did....and it is 80m overall if he stays cool.

If he starts on this team next season, the Rockets deserve every bad things that happens to them

If they were “certain” he’s part of the core, it wouldn’t be an NFL type, year to year contract.

There’s a reason they structured it that way and obviously they would like for it to work out, but they’re covering their butts “just in case”. It means they’re not “certain” quite obviously.

This is one of the most team friendly deals ever. The “16 million guaranteed” doesn’t mean what you think it means lol

I don't even think there are any Rockets fans outside of the <10 KPJ stans on this forum who enjoy watching this guy.

He was terrible tonight for sure.

He has been great though for the last few weeks, one bad game - fans shouldn't overreact to one bad game....
