Should this gentleman receive 5m in reparations?

Any chance his world view got influenced by "critical race theory"?

They lost the war, while the US wrote a Treaty they both signed as a binding agreement. Those living on the captured side could declare themselves as US citizens with rights afforded by the Constitution.

The only thing any American will agree upon is Property Rights.

Historical hindsight did not agree with that interpretation...

Can you provide a legally binding contract signed by nations and the requisite titles to prove said victimhood?

Even Tramp thinks we're a nation of laws, but let me just fart **** for things i disagree about and forget the finer details of what we supposedly base our national identity on.

How is it binding? Who's going to make them hold their end of the agreement? Is it common for a conquering nation to hold their end of the bargain when they don't have to? I ask because I don't know.

Any treaty signed and ratifiied is considered law by the Constitution.

I'm no legal or historical expert on this matter but I found an article detailing the circumstances. Seemed like they lost out on a lot of court decisions through cultural/legal differences, fraud, outright racism, and murky marital claims.

Yes. Currently there are still several issues regarding Native American treaty rights that are still be contested. These are treaties the US government made to tribes to surrender and go to Reservations many of which have never been fully lived up to by the US Government.

If that kind of person were in San Francisco, do you think he should get 5m in reparations?

What if he was in Houston?

No, Fritz, I don't think anyone should be given $5M.

I also don't think anyone should be given a unicorn.

Both are equally as likely to happen.

Well, as you could see, we have at least two leftist posters on this thread saying it should.

They know that it's a troll proposal yet they get all worked up about it. It's really sad how right wingers are bigger snowflakes than progressives.

I'll keep you in my prayer @AroundTheWorld
