It's a symptom of who they are in their core. Humor requires dynamic thinking. By definition, the GOP is conservative and doesn't like different thinking, change, etc. They're boring.

The unsubstantiated threats, now under investigation by the New York Police Department and FBI, were emailed to local government officials at a Manhattan community board, according to police.
