Isn't the Lions high pick actually the Ram's pick?

Funny, the GOAT was on national tv yesterday saying Young has gone through his college career in the SEC basically uninjured while you keep screaming about his injury history. Oh my, who are we to believe?

I will go with a renowned surgeon's analysis over a football coaches.

But hey, to each their own.

You mean a renown surgeon who has never laid eyes on Young. Good for you

That will change dramatically if the Cards trade out of the pick which would make a lot of sense to me.

I’m not gonna go back and find my post about all the QB’s under 6 foot. But I think there were like 8 and 6 of them were pro bowlers, Super Bowl winners, ROY’s, and even one who has the award for best quarterback named after him… so like 75% of QBs under 6 foot have been successful in the NFL.. don’t think 75% of the tall guys from the last 3 drafts have been good.

also, I just don’t understand the eagerness to wait for Williams and Maye. If they continue this trajectory (which isn’t a given, see Rattler) WE COULDNT EVEN SECURE TOP PICK THIS YEAR!!!!!!! Not only will we fail at it again next year, but we could easily be where the panthers were or worse, and you guys truly think Williams (I want nothing to do with Maye) and giving up 3 first rounders and a player is better for this team than Young and keeping every pick we have? That’s insane. We need the draft capital and Williams is still a risk giving all that up for. Is he less of a risk than Young? Sure! But is that saving of risk worth what we would have to give up? **** no.

hell, get Bryce and if we are top pick again, trade Bryce and grab Williams. I would rather do that than just HOPE that we can trade enough for Williams and HOPE that he lives up to the hype because unlike any other QB in any draft, he is a sure fire thing right? Like you can guarantee my 3 firsts and a player will get me a SURE THING?

Both later, Kyler Murray (same exact size + 3 lbs) went first overall.. this “only qb in history” thing is such a weird hill to die on.

I’m worried about Bryce’s size, but I’m in love with his football IQ. And the risk is less there than it is for what you want next year.

I think he knows Bryce is the guy. And yep I most definitely take Stroud if Bryce Is gone. I can’t stomach another year of Davis Mills at qb

Yeah, because by this "never before" logic, there's a lot of guys who should've never gotten drafted.

Mike Vick (No team has ever won a title with a QB that rushes for over 700 yards in a season too much running, he'll get killed).
Peyton Manning (Tennessee has a history of QB busts, Colts should've never drafted Peyton, he was a bust waiting to happen).
Eli Manning (Ole Miss has a history of QB busts in the NFL, Eli shouldn't have been drafted).
Drew Brees (Listed at 6', gimmick offense in College, played at Purdue of all places, he shouldn't have ever been drafted. Guaranteed bust)

We could do this all day. Saying someone "shouldn't be the guy we draft" because he'll have to be the "first" to do something is silly. The guys on this short list BALLED at every level of competition, and the teams that drafted them were more than happy to take the proverbial risk.

IDK how much you want to believe this guy but he said BigSargeSports, who I do see asking questions in the pressers to Texans guy or draft guys, said the Texans are comfortable with both Bryce and CJ but had preference for one of them based on personality traits(going to guess its Bryce with not having Deshaun's agent helping too) but they will take a QB at 2

EDIT: and his video explaining this got deleted

Dude… no idea who the other guys are but Davey O’Brien played in the 40s, lol. How is that relevant??

Again, didn’t see your list but I’d wager on two things: 1) no modern QB in that list *also* weighed >200. It’s not just height with Bryce; he is all-around small; 2) none of those on your list were first-rounders, or, if they were, weren’t first or second overall picks. That’s the other issue with Bryce - using a premium pick on a guy with his size issues. Round 3+? Absolutely. Roll the dice. You may even take a chance later in round 1, as a team picking in the 20s is either good or traded back for additional draft capital.

    But to get a 1 or 2 overall wrong…
