I couldn't find what I wanted on Youtube from the movie Harold & Maude.

    So went with this.

Great scene/song on Miami Vice - Public Image Limited. When I saw this episode, it’s when I knew I loved the New Wave genre of music.

Same song was on the movie Hardware. I can’t find a clip of the scene, but here’s a montage of the movie set to the song. I used to own this movie, fantastic early cyberpunk flick.

Hurdy Gurdy Man by Donovan during the end credits of Zodiac was perfection.

Barf. Any iconic movie scenes set to "We Didn't Start the Fire" or "We Built This City" while you're at it?

Speaking of Pee Wee, the breakfast machine music was Danny Elfman at his zaniest. He had never composed a score of anything ever before, he was just a pop musician with Oingo Boingo when Tim Burton asked him to score this movie, then Danny turned out this complete banger in his first film score.

I cannot like this post enough. Had this on vinyl a very long time ago and I played it constantly. I still remember the first time I heard it being played at #'s. Great Stuff.

The opening of "Apocalypse Now": "The End" by The Doors. How can anyone leave that out? An assassin ("you're an errand boy") on the edge sliding into darkness when he is left idle with no mission to occupy his time.

Nothing is better than the final showdown at the end of The Good The Bad and The Ugly with Ennio Morricone's The Ecstacy of Gold blaring in the background.

I am glad to see that Pee Wee is well represented here, though. LOL :D

A guilty pleasure is Bloodsport when Frank Dux turns things around during the final battle against Chong Li. Love that.

Funny you mention that...(I'm not a movie score listener kinda guy)...was listening to the score for PWBA on Spotify yesterday and was thinking how brilliant Elfman is. That score is put together so well...the music by itself is genius...but when you throw in the scenes from the movie, it is just perfect. There's no way that movie should've been pulled off...but considering the time it was made, the score and really good acting, it is just fantastic. You could never pull PWBA off today.
