Playoffs will be an excellent test, if he does well we should go in hard and I'm sure Spurs will too. Reaves is kind of the perfect extension of a good coach on both sides of the court, I feel he'd be a part of any 8-man rotation in the NBA with his defense, toughness and shooting. He's like a taller Pat Bev with better shooting minus the dirty plays.

While true, I do think it would be difficult to sign Reaves, Harden, and a top pick. Now, if we miss on Harden, I could see them signing two nice, non-max players to fill out the roster as opposed to giving the max to a borderline max guy like FVV. For example, let's say we land Scoot -- I'd love to add Reaves, Cam Johnson, and make KMJ a restricted FA (Johnson may have to be done via sign-and-trade). Scoot / Green / Johnson / Smith / Sengun KPJ / Reeves / KMJ / Eason / Garuba You'd also have guys like Tate, Christopher, TyTy, and the Clippers' pick. I could see them taking a good backup C (Lively or Filipowski) in that range.

Nba wants the Lakers in the play in so bad. They'd make so much money just off those 2 days. Credit to Reeves though, he's actually banging in the paint to at least make those calls look semi credible.
